Hello! You might remember me as the guy that led the campaign to make the Zandalari trolls tall!
Well, I am back! I made a Zandalari on the PTR, and I noticed something very weird. They start by wearing the armor/weapons of other races. For example, the paladin toon starts with a draenic mace and armor. I would point out that we have to have completed certain criteria to unlock them as an allied race, and by doing so, we would have collected all the quest rewards along the way.
My point here being that I would suggest and recommend that for Zandalari (and KT, I suppose) that their starting outfits match the quest reward armor and weapons from Zandalar and Kul Tiras. It feels strange and discombobulating to start and I watch this cool intro only to be the most oddly dressed Zandalari in history, not matching the kingdom around me. I do not think this diminishes the quest reward armors in BfA, because, as I said, we have already done all the quests.
Might we please have our lvl 20 starting armors (cloth, mail, leather, and plate) and the weapons too, match us. With the art department having worked so hard to give us more of a race identity rather than focusing gear on classes, I think this would be a small, but welcome change! Thank you!
