The overhype has begun. Ignoring the actual verbiage of the announcements is the first step
Reveal = release apparently
Egg on the face!
How did you so confidently make this thread and you’re so completely wrong though
the OP is how misinformation spreads lol. thankfully most wow players are very knowledgeable and able to call BS, usually.
I think expansion reveal will be day open for pre orders, then they need to get stuff ready to ship like all the collector editions and merch.
Winter Launch, Nov 2026
Even if you don’t understand the difference between a reveal and a release, you can see on the roadmap that after the “Expansion Reveal” there are still 11.x.x releases. TWW is 11.x.x content. How could the roadmap continue having TWW content releases if Midnight (12.x.x content) releases summer 2025?
I’m sure they can turn them out faster if they cut QA even more.
What content is released in a given expansion doesn’t necessarily have bearing on whether the following expansion is ‘rushed’ or not.
For my part, I think their design philosophy has changed in a way that everything is going to feel ‘rushed’ because the norm is now to continue development after something’s released, rather than withholding it until it’s fully complete.
You’re not very bright, are you?
Feels like Op’s is the perfect example of how Flat Earthers and anti-vaxxers are born.
Sometimes it helps to fact check.
The Roadmap clearly says “Late Summer, World of Warcraft: Midnight Expansion Reveal.” According to my googling, late summer in the US is somewhere between the end of July and the beginning of September". For the reveal, not the actual expansion.
Technically speaking, late summer is from the last week of August to the third week of September.
I shall take your technical input as correct, since we down here are all around about for that. Spring here starts September 1 and goes till November 30, Summer from December 1 to 28/29 February. So its pretty easy to figure out early and late.
Yearly implies once a year, every year on the dot. That’s not what’s happening.
clearly the content of midnight is to go back to the war within. this way they can EVEN FURTHER CUT THE STAFF AND LESSEN THE AMOUNT OF EFFORT PUT INTO THE EXPANSION!
Imagine being excited to spend $60 yearly on top of a sub for buggy expansions and no time to build up stories. Our paper mache villains have never been closer to loot pinatas than now.
It’s a good way to kill the game. WoW isn’t good enough to buy an expansion every year. Enjoy spending the same money for less.
No, no we are not getting Midnight next year. I think many have corrected you, but I will use my green for good to just be sure people see it. They are revealing the information - as in announcing the details about it. We will get a trailer and a Dev talk for Midnight in 2025.
Reveal != Release. They are not the same thing.
Reveal: verb
:to make (something secret or hidden) publicly or generally known
“reveal a secret”
: to open up to view : display
“the uncurtained window revealed a cluttered room”
As you can see, we have quite a bit of TWW to go in 2025. The roadmap for 2026 is not out yet, but that is likely where Midnight will RELEASE. Again, a totally different word.
Looks like Winter is still up in the air. I’d say a good release l time for the expansion but can be pushed into 26 and S4 added if things aren’t going as well. Very smart of them
