New WoW cosmology (spoilers)

No, these are my own troubles about shameful things. Finding a job is shameful, employment is shameful … even if it is encouraged. “Nobody should know anything.”

No, that part was the initial defending of Nordrassil at WC3. After that, the horde’s largely been worthless save for one time where Thrall points a Yoshi Coin at Deathwing.

I know the comparisons between the horde and, er, “older Germany” have been done to death, but since you’re trying to appeal to it as a personal example of redemption, I’m unsure of how to put this because I don’t want to diminish how you feel about your own country.

As a game story, wasn’t it crucial that WC3-WoW involved a time skip to kickstart a new generation, since you shouldn’t be blaming the children for what parents they were born to? It left the canon nebulously open so that if a horde player wanted to imagine themself as striving for a personal atonement, then they could do that. But it wasn’t required (or even applicable to 3/4ths of the core races).

But everything, especially Cata onward, wasn’t the horde’s predecessors. It was the current horde itself, player character included. Even if your proposal of “you will never find redemption, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try anyway” is taken at face value, how is that enjoyable?

I guess that’s why I was disappointed when the whisper to Vol’jin turned out to be a lie from Mueh’zala. For the first time since then I actually thought the Horde, under Sylvanas, was actually headed to something good… ha ha ha, silly me.

I did not want to compare the atrocities of the horde with those of Germany but with the way of Germany after the committed genocide, and what the horde can do, and in my eyes should do, to deal with the issue of genocide respectfully and dignified now, it is now there, you can not change it and now to make the alliance to ultra-racists, it does not make it better.

We know it won’t work in-game because the playerbase has stated as much.

Real world responses to war crimes don’t hold in an MMORPG because of timeframe.

You know the community won’t accept such a trite in-game gesture.

I think that would depend on how it’s presented. If blizz were really serious about it, you could make a lot out of it.

Zahir you know damn well that’s as likely retcon’ing Teldrassil out of the canon.

and how likely…is your idea? Its not about “how likely our ideas are” you wanted my solution…i told you my solution…thats everything i did.

Order of likelihood from most to least:

  1. Alliance getting villain batted briefly during Light Bad expansion
  2. WoW copying a Realm Reborn (easier to copy what’s been done)
  3. Alliance getting seriously villain batted
  4. Blizzard retcon’ing Teldrassil out of Existence
  5. The writers developing the Horde with meticulous nuance to warrant the playerbase changing their perception on the possibility of redemption in the face of genocide

Has anyone else gotten a copy?

Which is kinda funny since Quetz’lun is more based on Quetzalcoatl than Hakkar is.

Why would they do that? The Alliance players were suppose to be presented as heroes in their own story. Jaina was leading the charge and I doubt she would tolerate wanton violence. Not to mention the entire point of going after Rhastakhan was to reduce casualties.

Anyway, back to Grimoire. I am interested in why the shaman were never really taught much about “decay” magic, even though they could learn it. The Dark Shaman fight in Ogrimmar showed if you bend elemental magic you can used “decay” magic. Which brings the question if maybe it should be taught(if not necessarily used) if the shaman were to actually be better adept at understanding nature.

Funny I never even considered such, even though Baal was right in the name. Seems a bit Off location though. I know it’s not that.
Hannibal’s name did work in such a way. If I’m informed cirectly his name meant something like “Baal is merciyfull”. This Name seems to have been used a lot during a certain time frame.
Just wanted to mention it.

Whoosh, just right over your head lol

And the idea of the writers went above your head. The scene was done for the benefit of Alliance players and it was done fairly well as far as I’m concerned.

My point is that it was a mistake to do it that way and reversing the differing dialogue would’ve been more interesting.

But hey as long as you recognize multiple parts of BFA was done for your exclusive benefit with zero nuance :stuck_out_tongue:

Considering how certain people keep moaning about what happened to the Horde, I don’t think “interesting” is all that it is cracked up to be. Sometimes a good old fashion being the “good guys” in a war is just as fun and more engaging.

Tell me again where your “nuance” has gotten the Horde.

Besides, I am perfectly fine with the much more serviceable nuance of “the good guys trying and failing/not totally succeeding in their objective but still keeping their integrity”.

ugh, this is why I’m a loyaltist. The Alliance needs to get knocked down a few pegs.

Still thinking this game was about Bad vs good eh?

I wish people would play WC3.

I did. You didn’t notice that the Big bad, the Legion, was beaten by a combination of the armies of Jaina, Thrall, Malfurion and Tyrande? 4 relative “good guys”.

Yes, I know there were other villainous forces introduced. Particularly the Lich King, but look at all of those forces now. Beaten to death(sans Sylvanas and Aszhara) by the mortal “good guys”.

You might end up choking on that wish. I expect if the Alliance were ever to end up villain batted it will be at great cost as well to the Horde.
