Patch 9.1 is so dead, what else is there to talk about? 
It’s all about the lawsuits, things Blizz are frantically taking away (or adding to placate the playerbase) or other games in the same genre.

There are plenty of topics to talk about for WoW, its just that flaming is more popular than having interesting discussions, and people get put off having any sort of positive chat by the heaped negativity in response.
If you’ve been around awhile, it isn’t hard to extrapolate that the current development paradigm of Blizzard has been dropping subs. And I’m not saying that New World is a WoW killer but it certainly isn’t going to help it.

Game is alright. I like the gameplay so far and it’s definitely more interactive than WoW is at the moment, but it also just released. It benefits from have an active global chat per server and loads of new things to explore and discover.
Again, it is a brand new game so this is to be expected.
I have a few complaints, however:
- Ranged will suck in PvP and kinda sucks in PvE
- I’m constantly needing to hold the “S” key because dodging and blocking are a thing but each enemy has rather unpredictable attack patterns
- As a product of this, I’m constantly being ganked by NPCs
- PvP is broken already; If you’re lower level, don’t even bother
- My server already has two zones claimed by Syndicate, meaning Marauders and Covenant just aren’t worth it
- Fake transmog system
- Everyone is human
- No mounts! (except they will definitely release mounts one day)
But other than that, the game is performing well for me! It’s not Final Fantasy (trash), it’s a nice break from Shadowlands and all of Blizzard’s muck lately, and it gives off a sense of proper RPG with player housing, crafting, and the ability to wield multiple weapons at the same time. It reminds me a little bit of ESO but it is much lower fantasy than ESO, so it’s more reserved.

Musket is the best PvE ranged weapon if you want to do actual damage. But making the bullets is rough for low levels, better to just buy them.
The faction dominance also matters per server, on mine Marauders basically don’t exist and it’s a war between the other two.
I do agree with all of your points, though. Give me a horsie, Bezos

Given the game is Pay-to-Play how likely is it that things like mounts will go into the shop? In fact, anything interesting and wanted by players will likely go in the shop. Since its Amazon and they know all about selling things to people, its pretty well a guarantee that they will follow the like of Bethesda and have rolling items available on limited times to hook people back into playing.

Sadly, that’s how B2P MMOs are. GW2 and ESO have been doing it for years.

Every game has that on launch, people buy it to test out then refund when they figure out it’s garbage. How’s the great game of Rift doing again? Or the record shattering SWTOR?
Yep. I actually bought the game on Steam and tried it, and immediately requested a refund. My computer, which works on all my other games just fine, could not handle NW. Thankfully Steam gave me a refund due to being literally on and off it and I was able to claim under “my potato almost got fried” or whatever the reason was.

some games just don’t mesh well with some rigs. Black Desert screwed up my resolution for my desktop and all other games. Had to uninstall that one quick.
Yes it was an unhappy experience, I had to offer my dear friend a soothing break. Its ok thankfully; I have no idea if it was just my particular PC or if all lower end builds just dont deal with its systems. (PS I did check and my computer did exceed the minimum specs.)

History always repeats itself. This fotm MMO is the bomb! Always the first month then slowly they all fade to obscurity afterwards.
Someone should make a long list of WoW challengers that had proclaimed “To make WoW their bit**h!” to use one of the most infamous quotes in gaming lore.
