the thing people hate most about world buffs is having to go get them every week, especially for ones like darkmoon that arent always up and you have to try and be so careful with it until 2 weeks later. people were legit excited at having the option to farm a special toy to use instead.
but classic wow is also about choices and time investment mattering.
solution? make the new world buff items a permanent toy with a longer CD, but make it unique, so you can only choose one. that way you have to make a social interaction with friends and guildies and spread out the âeffortâ, you can only own one of the toys, and that requires social coordination and makes different people in your raid have a unique offering.
this bridges the desire for easier world buff acquisition with the social interaction and unique player identity fantasy of an old school mmorpg.

Just a shared 2Hr CD is enough, people can get all but they all share CD

Good idea.
Would be good for the community too. Youâd probably see people shouting in towns for someone to share a buff like they do priest prayers.
Would be good for the social aspect of the game.

I feel like with the amount they cost, most wonât use them. I would instead lower the cost if they are considered a one-time use OR make them a 24 hour CD, even a 3 day CD would be fine, enough to wait for another lockout.

Yup. I hoarded a bunch of mats with the intention of turning them in for all the items, but now Iâm just going to probably use them all for the DMF buff since that one you cant get at all times, unlike the others.
OrâŚthey could just make craftable WB items (Elixir and Sigils). That require the crafter to go âdo the thingâ initially to learn the recipe; ie talk to the DM Guards or pick seeds (quest item) from a Cleansed Songflower.
This way crafters can sell them for coin and raiders donât have to call raids early on âprogression nightsâ because of a wipe and now that boss that just wiped you is 100x more difficult and yaâll arenât making any progression on downing it.
If they are not boonable then they wouldnât do that. At least not on a PVP server since getting into a raid alive is rarer than henâs teeth
this, basically just gives a 2nd chance at raid with buffs but thats it. then it justifies the high cost.
iâd prefer they use reals to keep dungeon content relevant
