These new items are god awful for the game, particularly for the health of PvP. PvP is finally in a good state in SoD and having people running around with full world buffs one shottinf everyone will be horrible in every way. Imagine these in BGs. Blizz implimented the increased HP and decreased player damage for a reason and these will literally make the game completely unplayable. Hopefully they only work inside of a dungeon or raid instance. Collecting world buffs was kind of fun and gave rize to an interactive culture that promoted player interaction
Just imagine rogues and druids popping out of stealth and killing people in seconds. This will completely decimate PvP in SoD. Like these WBs will end it completely. At the very least remove WBs inside of BGs. Remember what happened in P3. 80% of the population or more quit in part due to the horrendous PvP state. Dont make this mistake again blizzard. If you do, well then i guess the fresh is still there
Not sure about Horde, but for Alliance, assuming the Signets are used, and the Signet quests are the same as OG AQ’s. Then each boon is just 100 Light Leather.
This is why they should have just made these craftable by professions; Alchemy (Songflower), Enchanting; Sigils (DMT/Dragon/Rend/DMF); someone suggested BS and I followed up with ‘drums’ by Leatherworking.
Then just require 300 from the profession and ‘level 60’ and have the player go around and learn the crafts from their source. Meaning you’d still have to do DMT to get the Guards’ buffs and you’d have to find a Cleansed Songflower to get some seeds to give to the lady that hands out the salves; DMF would require Exalted and you’d have to pick which of Sayge’s buffs to learn.
Make the crafted items tradeable and !BAM! you got yourself a player-driven economy on WBs.
These items should be permanent or world buffs removed entirely and game balanced around it. Wiping because another makes a mistake and losing buffs is not great for the social contract.
