Hopefully they spend more time on them to make them that much better
[/quote] inb4 everyone goes nuts and cries female worgen are too pretty and blizz does a repeat of what happened to the worgen female.
I’ve piped up a few times about the Worgen remodels.
I want to see a greater variation of customisation so most of the worgen don’t blend together as much, like more drastic fur colour, muzzle shapes ala what the vulpera have, faces and hairstyles, etc. (When the female models are updated to look less feral, I hope ‘rabid chihuahua’ is an option still…)
The male model has a really strange rib hunch that obscures tabards really badly and I’d like to see that cleared up a little.
Finally, The more out there options I’d like to see implemented would be options for a tail or even an option for up-right postures like the Orcs have now.
I’m really passionate about the Worgen race and that this update is even happening is something that makes me really pleased.
Very much looking forward to 8.2.5.
Like I said, I’d be happy if you were correct, since it means my main and several alts finally get new models, but I’m not going to be surprised if it is later.
We are just going to have to agree to disagree about our interpretations of the presentation.
There’s an option for Death knights not to use their death knight voice. Blizzard could add in a do not use worgen voice in worgen form option. We see other worgen around the world that have human voices. I am fine with my voice as a male worgen, but I would definitely prefer the non worgen voice on a female.
There were a couple of blue posts that the gist was “we hear you. We’re working on it,” but those were on the old forums and may have been lost in the forum update.
They also answered the question a couple of times in Q&As. I’m sure you could find them on YouTube or Google or somewhere.
Q: How are the Worgen and Goblin updates coming along?
A: Right now Blizzard is focused on Allied Races. Nothing on the immediate list but they want to!
I’m just gonna be frank with you. When both quotes I found say “We want to do this”, and you even get a Blizzard “Hopefully soon™” That means they hadn’t even started on the models, like at all.
The difference right now, is they actually showed us some assets they have been working on, and put it on a slide showing 8.2.5. That means they aren’t in “we wanna do this” mode, but are in “we are now actually doing it” mode. If 8.2.5 happens and they push it back, I say we then get out the pitchforks because we’ve been waiting a very long time for them. But since they set up a roadmap, lets see if they can hold to it.
Hopefully they add monk class to both races, and don’t say they can’t because their starting zones are stuck in time before mop happened. Didn’t stop blood elf and Draenei from getting the class with pandaren trainers in their burning crusade stuck starting zones.
Showing a few still images doesn’t mean it’s anywhere close to being done. They still have to do animations, gear, customization options, make sure everything lines up properly, make sure nothing clips through anything, and so on. That is not something that can be done overnight.
