Got my “Pyretic Star”, ilvl 616 1h mace, and after I equipped it my Lava lush skill stopped working. Now it’s asking for 1h weapon. The class is shaman and I don’t know how to upload screenshots here.

They won’t admit their offhand weapon was something inappropriate and incompatible with their rotation.
Dagger was in my offhand
And its not count as a 1h weapon for Lava for some wierd strange reason

If you look at the Enhancement Shaman spec page in game, you’ll see a list of “preferred weapons”. “Preferred” is disingenuous: what it really means is “the only weapons that will work with all attacks for this specialization, including specials”. And daggers are not on the list.

Daggers are their own “weapon” type.
Weapon types are, as of BFA
Daggers: Daggers (1.8 sec base weapon speed)
1 hand weapons: Swords, maces, axes, fist weapons, warglaives (2.6 sec base weapon speed)
2 hand weapons: Swords, maces, axes, polearms, staffs (3.6 sec base weapon speed)
Ranged weapons: Bows, Crossbows, Guns, Wands. (3.0 sec base weapon speed excluding wands, which have 2.0 sec base weapon speed)
The first three ranged weapons are considered “2 hand weapons” while wands are “1 hands”.
