As title states, came back after stopping in season 1. Decided to get alt warlock up and am considering how to efficiently gear.
Seems that Demonology would be the best choice for a casual player that wants to do decently well in pve and pvp. (would love to play affliction but it looks like a joke for mythic+ and raids).
Would wilfreds satchel be the best choice since I could also use it with the other specs?
Go straight for demon doggie legendary?
This imo. It’s a very fun legendary but you do need tier to make it work. Makes you good in most content though.
I’d do Wilifred’s first. It’s a good all-arounder, is easy to use effectively, and works very well for Destro too if you want to try multi-spec. It’s the #1 Demo leggo being played today in both raid and M+.
Nah. It’s slightly better for Tyrannical and pure st but as OP wants all rounder best for Demo dogs legendary is the better choice (IMO). Offers the best rounded performance and heaps better in multi target / most m+ scenarios.
The Warlock community disagrees.
Statistically, Wilfred’s remains the best overall for M+ and Raid. I cannot comment on PvP.
The sample sizes are small. 986 unique characters for the raid, 312 for m+ - with a narrow scope of +16-+22.
Unless you think there’s only 312 warlocks doing m+ now it’s hardly representative of “the warlock community”.
Updated for S4. TLDR; The author suggests crafting Wilfred’s first for both M+ and Raid.
Bottom line is you’ll end up crafting both, and Wilfred’s is a better 1st choice.
Thanks for the replies all. I will eventually craft both but seems like wilfred’s isnt terrible first choice looking at logs, and as pointed out could also use it with destro if I want to try that at some point.

But it’s still correct. Everyone seems to be running Wilfred’s. With that said, it’s very boring. I’d still go for the dog legendary, the enjoyment is worst the minor DPS loss.
It still tells you to craft the covenant legendary as your 2nd all through it - it’s not even remotely up to date.
