So I started playing at the beginning of Dragonflight and only seriously playing recently. I have a severe alt problem, but finally managed to get a few characters up to 70 and my main, a Draenai Paladin to 80. Yay.
But now I really wanna find a guild, and there’s still so much I don’t know. Lots of new features once you reach 80. So I guess I’m looking for a Guild, one that actually does stuff (Dungeons, raids, I suppose Mythic), but primarily a roleplay guild as Im mainly attracted to Rp. I’m not on every day, but usually can sit down for a few hours per night.
Any tips on getting into the social scene would also be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello and Welcome! Tirisfal Theatre Troupe could be a good fit if you don’t have a lot of time for RP. We tend to do rehearsals and plays for half the year, and are about to be in our off-season. Our RP is also very structured, as we perform plays, and there’s room to learn the lore as you workshop your character. I’m also willing to help Troupies learn PVE c:
https://tttonstage.carrd.co/ If you wanna check us out! The plan is to host a few social RP events in the off-season, and maybe some M+ nights.
While I cannot speak to the guilds of Alliance WRA, I can offer some friendly advice:
WRA-A is a guild-centric server that is not mired in constantly being stuck in Stormwind. That is fantastic news if you really enjoy the D&D style of RP where you join a merry band of adventurers (or war criminals like my current group calls themselves T.T) and venture around Azeroth!
Discord has become a key feature in WoW RP to keep groups together while also allowing you a space to write story for your character or even RP in. Think of it as a kinda Facebook but with way less bots/drama.
Your comfort matters. As much as I want new players to join RP there are always uncomfortable subjects and styles. You are under NO obligation to participate in something that does not sit right with you. RP begins and ends with consent and you have absolute power over your own consent, please remember that. I have yet to meet anyone that disagrees with this statement: “IRL comes first. This is a video game and you can play it whenever you wish or stop at any moment. We understand and will still be here to welcome you back.”
How you RP and what kind of character you play is up to you, nobody has the right to tell you how to spend your money or play the game if you are Free to Play. We are all just trying to play with our imaginary dolls at the end of the day.
Lastly, these forums are still a huge respository of information and a great way to advertise guilds/events. Some people do not jive with a hundred Discord channels and that is okay.
That said, welcome to the community and I look forward to your involvement! Even if we never meet (I am feral and live in the Deeprun Tram) the more players in RP is always good and boosts my favored way of enjoying Warcraft!
Hello and welcome!! Like what Gnoregrets shared, my guild Vigilants of Tyr is very DnD style RP sessions based. You’re welcome to check us out if that’s your jam and you’re also welcome to hang out with us in discord, even if you don’t decide yo join. We are active and chatty and happy to have folks around.
Otherwise, no pressure, if you see me or any of us in game feel free to drop a hello or /wave.
We also hold public events threw the Mead Hall, including a bi-weekly pub session every Sunday and a MOOT once a month
We don’t do a lot of content (a couple of us do, but it’s not as a guild, just individually) or I’d pass on our guild info to you. We do RP a couple times a week and try to attend various events and gatherings. If you see us out anywhere, feel free to stop by and chat ICly. We’re active evenings and weekends.
Past that, look for occasional RP in Duskwood or Mereldar. You can find out where people are by downloading TRP and doing a search on the map for RPers.
