Hello! I am new to game, just got 110 from bfa! new to server as well! any advice about getting started and getting friends on server helps!
You choose a good server, lots of people should be willing to help you on it! =D
I’d do the orange quests till you have the cloak that would be the best way to catch up.
Join a guild. Some guilds aren’t very fun. Usually, the ones that spam advertise in Trade Chat aren’t very good. And if you’re new, I wouldn’t suggest joining a serious raiding guild. Find a casual raiding guild like the one I’m in, as those guilds usually are fairly social and welcoming and still have events. Plus, if you ever get into raiding, you can start with a casual raiding guild.
I’d say to just join a guild, any social guild will do just fine. Not just specifically social raiding
Hey little guy, welcome to the game!
I used to main a Disc Priest so you chose well in that regard, WA is a great server also.
I’d suggest you find a leveling/social guild. Ask in chat, you’ll get invites and not all will be the right fit so have some patience.
Also some new players can feel ignored or unwelcome in a newly joined guild, that is not the case, it just takes people a bit to warm up and given a few days you’ll feel more involved.
When you’re in a guild they’ll direct you where you need to go etc.
Good luck Joy!
lol no one even commented on server forum… thanks to general discussion.
Oh I meant ask in trade chat or general chat in a city like stormwind xD
Welcome, welcome.
Take your time getting your feet wet, and go slow. Games are supposed to be fun, not a chore.
Since I play Horde, I will welcome you by destroying you. Nothing says welcome like a good womping. But in all seriousness, have you been invited to a guild? If not, just type “Looking for social guild” in trade chat, and you will quickly get an invite. If you don’t like the people in that guild, just type /gquit to leave.
Visit your local Goldshire for “friendship”…
It’s rare that people visit those forums, or the forums at all, only a tiny percentage of the players use the forums. Best to just do most of your communicating in game.
(trembling) You truly are Forsaken…
Welcome to the server!
I am leaving this server. Seems like community here is so toxic. Some dude was even racist based on my spelling. Any good rp servers you can recommend? lol
And you already have 2 Honorable Kills! That’s a good start…
Top 2 RP realms are Wyrmrest Accrod and Moon Guard.
Newbie tips and a realistic point of view without the Bull
- Toxicity is a nature of the game and something you’ll get accustomed to.
- Not everyone will be your friend nor friendly.
- Anyone asking for gold handouts is normally trolling or joking
- Download the Twitch program on your PC and then install TRP 3 (Total RolePlay 3). IT’s going to make a huge difference in how lively RP realms will feel to you.
- Do your best to make it through the BfA storyline. It may seem like it’ll drag on but hopefully the end game content will make it worthwhile, for you.
- Do the 8.3 story to unlock your legendary cloak and boost your Heart of Azeroth to either 50, 60, or 70. I don’t recall which one it puts you at.
- Mythic+ are Mythic dungeons with affixes added to them and a couple other things. If you’re curious to read up more about it, check the following links below:
mythicpl.us
https://www.wowhead.com/mythic-keystones-and-dungeons-guide - Before diving into Mythic+, at least run every dungeon on Mythic at minimum so you know what’s coming ahead.
- Find yourself a great guild. The best guild won’t be the one who has the most active players online throughout the day, nor the most players on the realm. Try to find a great one. It’ll make your experience more tolerable and worth it.
- Corruption gear, will almost always be better than the ilvl upgrade for your gear. There are some caveats to this though but the general norm is, it’s almost always better.
- Reminder when you’re on RP Realms, your name must be a RP name otherwise you’ll be forced to change it by Blizzard.
There’s plenty more things I should mention but this should be enough to get you started. The WoW community in general is not friendly; however, RP realms are your best bet for being the friendliest and most lively feeling.
Good luck to you.
Thanks, I just went online this morning and had terrible experience ( racism based on my grammar and spelling) on Wyrmrest Accrod . I do not even want to play there anymore lol. Toxic people and some paladin dude killing low levels in SW can’t even rp. Thanks for tips, I will probably go for MG now.
