I could never win yellow Pet in the game, Yellow pets seem to have much bigger hp than mines and they have much better nuke abilities than mines too. Is there any way to defeat the yellow pets?
There’s ways you just need to find the right strategies using the right type of pets against their weaknesses of the type of pet you are fighting those pet battles are hard battles you won’t be them with just any random pets look up guide or videos to get an idea of what to use
You will need a lot of different pets in your roster and figure out a strategy that works like know when to use abilities that will quit you from taking dmg that turn or when to use attacks that will increase your speed
Thats why I don’t do them. The enemy does 2 moves and kills me. I finally get it low, then it heals to full. They need more of a pokemon type system to the current one.
The yellow ones are like little bosses, they are meant to be tough!
There are a lot of strats that get posted up for certain ones on sites like WoWhead if you are super stumped but if you aren’t really into the whole pet battle thing you can usually use level 1 pets and the main guy will scale down with you.
Having a big roster of pets that are fully leveled makes the battles easier, more options.

There are many factors that make up pet battles. It looks like a simple thing on the surface, but it’s quite detailed and layered.
- Family: Flying, Humanoid, Aquatic, Dragonkin, Magic, etc… Each pet Family has strengths and weaknesses against other pet families.
- Breed: This part is quite complicated, but there are four elements that go into them: Speed, Health, Power, and Balance.
- Talents: Each pet has 6 talents, 3 on 2 different tiers. You select 3.
- Level and rarity.
When you engage the Pet Bosses, you need a team of three pets. Having the right combination of Family, Breed, Talents, Level, and Rarity is key. Ideally, bringing 3 level 25 Rare pets of the right Family is a good start.

And the comment sections on each of the pet world bosses at ~wowhead.com will help you with step-by-step strategies to beat them.

Like others said the yellow pets are bosses and some require very specific pets and/or abilities to defeat.
Try browsing this site, it has a lot of helpful and relevant info for pet battles.

Check out Wowhead. There’s entire pet battle guides with lists of counters for each pet master and legendary pet. You need certain abilities like flock for these types of battles, and you’re going to need 9-12 pets for the Celestial Tournament in Pandaria that has really great pet rewards.

So most of the legendary battles require a combo in order to defeat. This means setting up multiple moves across several pets (although this is not always the case.) In addition it requires knowledge of when the boss will use what abilities.

If your looking to get into pvp (another area that has a steep learning cyrve,) this guy has a great series.
Addons
- Battle Pet BreedID - Battle Pet BreedID is a standalone addon that will display the Breed of any pet
- Rematch - A little clunky to set up but it saves teams so you don’t have to keep looking up a decent team for things like WQ’s, it also tracks win ratios, and auto swaps pets for leveling.
- tdBattlePetScript - Not an entry level addon but one to look at later as it can save a ton of time, particularly during Super Squirt. This addon makes battle pet combat support scripting.

And finally as a heads up Super squirt I think is coming up in November. If your starting out with pet battles now is the time to gather as many level 1’s as you can so that you can level them to 25 in about 4 min each. Think I managed just under 300 pets on the last one.
I use the ss Bronze Whelpling and a Widget the departed strategy (although there are several others.) Both of these can be bought on the AH and I suggest buying them now before the prices go up when the event is available.

Follow the links, there is a ton of information out there. One thing you will learn a new level of frustration for rng. I see people raging about loot drops… Try the Celestial Tournament. BWAHAHAhahahaha
I don’t go all out on it just collect some pets and what not. There is a lot to do if you get interested in it.

If you’re talking about some of the ones in Naz - Ikky is your bestest friend. And if you have more than one of them all the better.
There is a reason they are nerfing that little bird in Shadowlands lol.
Wait a minute? What is this pet gated ability? I have to choose which pets I want and then their fights? Why not give all abilities to each pets this way I can use my favorite one always.
Say no to borrowed pet abilities and multiboxing pets.
My sweet summer child… you know nothing of pet battles my darling Boomprime. 
Some pets have common abilities, and some have rare ones. That’s the best part.
But you can always have your favorite following you, give it grow treats, and play fetch.
