New to melee, getting lost in the crowd?

Hey, I’m new to melee classes, spent most of my WoW time from the distance with mage or locks.

My question is, does anyone have any pointers when in crowds. When a bunch of mobs get pulled. I can lose myself in the crowd and find out after a few key presses I’m facing the wrong way. Any advice on how to stay in the fray would be great, thanks!

Sometimes it just takes practice, however to start i would get a personal spotlight https://www.wowhead.com/item=127864/personal-spotlight it puts a beam of light on you that only you can see. It lasts one hour and has a 5 minute CD. Perfect for times when you want to keep track of yourself in a crowd.

It’ll come just come with practice but something that might help you get used to it is that your character is always in the same position in the centre of your screen, provide you’re zoomed out and not playing in first person or using any silly camera addon.

Alternatively you can get this weakaura https://wago.io/9yNznbLuB and then readjust it’s load condition to in combat (remove all other load conditions). Then turn it off once you’re used to keeping an eye on the centre of your screen.

I generally play melee from a birds eye view.

Found it helps a lot with positioning.

it takes practice, its something you sort of need to have the mindset for.

be one with the warrior, let ur guide you

bigger characters help too like a tauren or an evoker, I find this pretty helpful as well with a birds eye view
