New to Hpal, where can I find good healing guides, tips, and tricks to playing the class

Also if they have kyrian covenant tips for dungeons too would be helpful.

Wowhead, icy veins, google. They will cover the basics, talents, rotation, etc.

The best guide is your instincts. Hone them with practice.

  • Keep Holy Shock on cooldown.
  • Build holy power as much as you can.
  • Stay out of trouble (so that you don’t spend all too many resources healing yourself).

look up Ellesmere’s Wingsisup Website, it’s a rather nice encyclopedia on Holy Paladin play.

And take a look at the Pally discord! I can’t post links but if you search “Hammer of Wrath discord” it’ll likely be the first result.

My advice like others have said. Always be casting holy shock if your running glimmer. Get grid2 with a weak aura to add a cool glimmer effect to the UI.
Always be in melee range and have CS on CD.
Run the soulbind that heals when your in your consecrate. Because this also heals the tank or your beacon.

Download GTFO aka it will yell at you if you standing in bad spots.

Get some mouse over casting for divine toll, shock, WOG, and cleanse At a minimum.

And the most important thing in the entire game. Learn the instances and boss fights.

As other have said wingsisup is all u need. Its maintained by a R1 M+ pally (ellesmere) and its very informative and well done.

skip icyveins and wowhead. Hammer of wrath discord is useless for holy

playstyle is all about HP generation, it’s a rewarding class.

Biggest question you’ll have to ask yourself, IMO, is if you want to run glimmer or BoV in dungeons. Playstyle differs a decent amount.

Glimmer/Beacon u have to baby tank less and group more, and it has less AOE throughput and needs more micro-management.

BoV is all about pooling/dumping HP during BoV uptime, and precasting HL then using BoVbefore GCD, it requires more tank attention.
