New to healing

Ive never healed a day in my life and started playing during LK. Want something new, something different. Is priest beginner friendly or should i lean more towards a diff healing spec??

Holy Priest is extremely beginner friendly. Map out your hotkeys, jump into a dungeon, slowly learn to DPS between having to heal if that’s fun for you, stay close to your tank, keep yourself alive, make sure your mog looks sick af, and have a good time.

Holy priest is plenty fine for a beginner to learn with. Check out wowhead for some build, gear, and spell priority advice.

Should be fine without it if you’re just leveling up or whatever but once at 70 it will be very helpful.

Key part of the equation here. This man knows what he’s talking about.

I agree that hpriest is a good spec to start healing with, don’t bother damaging yet if you are just learning about healing, add that in when you are comfortable with the healing (and you can recognize when no healing is needed)

It’s a little weird in dungeons because you don’t use prayer of healing at all, just single target heal people even in AOE (most of the time prayer of mending on cooldown and flash heal is enough). If you don’t run lightweaver, you don’t have to use “heal” ever or even bind this. Also probably run benevolence even if guides tell you to run power word life
