Seems like you only melee to build maelstrom? I just want fat stormstrikes and wind fury auto like old times haha.

Short answer is no.
Maelstrom is the core mechanic of enhance and it can only be spent on spells.
Between stormstrike, lava lash and ice strike, you’ll still be doing mostly melee though.
As someone said in another thread, don’t underestimate Stormstrike’s damage.
If you build for it, it’s better than it might seem at first when you consider all the secondary damage procs like Windfury, Tempest Strikes, Stormflurry and Stormblast which all add up plus you could take Gathering Storms to make Crash Lightning buff Stormstrike when multiple targets are near which, even untalented, adds another minor damage aoe proc to your melee aoe abilities.
Not even considering damage procs, Stormstrike is usually my second highest damaging ability overall next to Lightning Bolt. I mostly pvp so your mmv.

The closest thing to what you’re asking for, OP, is Totemic hero talent tree with the standard storm spec in the Spec tree (though I’d recommend you also take lava lash and the new 1 pt molten assault as well since totemic hero tree has 2 nodes that need lava lash.
Totemic tree gives you a ton of physical damage via Surging totem physical AoE damage; GREATLY increased windfury procs (near 40% wfw proc chance!), with increased wfw damage. you can also take the class tree talent that increases your weapon imbuements by another 15% as well.
Other than that, theres nothing that really greatly increases stormstrike damage beyond the standard storm build with physical wolves.
As others have said here, stormstrike’s damage is deceptively low, because it procs alot of things.
