New to Classic-Rogues

So like most people, coming from the stale retail side i decided to try out the new hardcore realms. Im playing a rogue for the first time ever.

The main ability from the videos ive watched is saving combo points and dumping a big eviscerate hit. Currently im lvl 42 woth vanquisher? Mainhand combat spec. Eviscerate shows with 3 points the damage would be between something like 250-300 however it almost never hits for that, usually in the 185 range. Ive all but stopped using it at this point and im just doing slice into sinister strikes for regular rotation.

Does anyone have CONCRETE evidence as to why eviscerate numbers show one thing but dont ever actually hit within the combo point range?

If im correct what youre exp is the armor from mobs. Armor metigate a lot in classic.

it’s just armor values, dude :expressionless: but using slice n dice is indeed better if you are sure the mob will last the entire duration of the SnD buff (or if you’re fighting 2+ mobs)

This has been stated already but, different enemies have different armor values. I would not recommend evis against a turtle for instance.

SnD doesnt cleave, dude

the point is you want something to attack for the full duration of the SnD buff :expressionless:

Pretty cheeky comment from the guy who didn’t understand armor mitigating damage.

rupture for armored mobs, eviscerate for casters.

bleed is not effected by armor. only very very good rogues know this. noob rogues literally use slice and dice on armored mobs lol.
