New to Classic: Horde or Ally for Wpvp?

New to classic and wanting to start on Nightslayer for PvP. I’m wanting to try Rogue or Feral, and am open to either faction. But, from what I’ve found online, Horde seems to be over-saturated with more PvP’ers & (undead) rogues in general…
If I go Horde can I expect to spend most my time searching for players to PvP with or is there any advantage to being Horde/Ally regarding most of the WPvP zones?
Thank you! Looking forward to starting classic!

Theres more players on horde so if you want the faction with the better pvp racials and more people thats what you should go. Its been locked on and off so if you havent made a toon already you may have to wait until the really late hours of the night.

Alliance are smaller and weaker they stand no chance

Horde if you want the better racials. Alliance if you want to actually get into the game without having to sit there waiting for space to open

I don’t think you’ll find much WPVP in general. Like, you can go to any zone and attack people who are passing through, questing, farming, etc.

It’s quite rare that there are any sorts of meaningful battles, where groups form to defend or attack something, though it can happen, I suppose. World bosses, whenever we get to them, might be such a thing.

There was a World Boss coalition discord on Faerlina that was quite active from 2019-2021, and even into TBC Classic for at least the first couple of phases. Maybe we’ll see that on Nightslayer as well.

As for which faction would be better, it’s hard to say, as this sort of thing tends to be somewhat dependent on who is taking the lead to organize it. It only really takes 1 committed person to have a very large impact, so if you can figure out where they are, and join them, that’d be a great start.

It’s going to get worse depending upon BG queues.

If Horde has long queue times. It’s going to be terrible leveling.

I would not recommend Classic Feral unless you can handle a really high skill cap with medium reward. There are amazing ferals out there that just about seem unkillable. However, it isn’t easy in the slightest. Feral gains most benefit from playing Alliance with Paladin for the Blessing of Kings as well as Night Elf makes their stealth lvl higher. Other than that Horde side they are okay if you want to tank.

Rogue wise pick your poison…Dwarf, Stoneforming at the right time is amazing…Human Perception is good…Night Elf higher stealth lvl…Orc stun resist with decent burst…Troll decent damage increase, but requires health lvl timing…Forsaken get out of fear racial with slight damage increase.

It’s been my experience, and I’ve played both, that Alliance seem to do more group PvP activities. Like forming a raid and destroying a zone. I’ve seen the Horde do it exactly once, and it was in retaliation to the Alliance owning Grom Gol. I’ve also played Horde the heaviest because they’re my favorite, I just love the lore of the UD. That alone, tells me the Alliance participate in group world PvP a LOT more.

and don’t listen to these idiots who say Horde has the best racials. you know who has the best warrior PvP racials? Gnomes. There can be an argument for Dwarfs because you can go poison immune, and that’s how Rogues will kite you. It also removes devouring plague, which is a big, big part in a UD Spriests survivability and damage.

Both factions have great racials, depending on which class you play.

What’s better, a UD or Dwarf Spriest? I’d argue the Dwarf is the superior race for PvP. Both have a fear cancel, but the dwarf can remove the diseases and poisons without wasting mana. It also provides a blanket protection against it for 8 seconds.

it basically comes down to play whichever faction and race speaks to you, because only an idiot would pick a faction or race based on something so silly, you’ll be looking at this character for awhile. Pick the one that makes you happy.

Nah. A trink works just as good to break that fear, but you’re not gonna get into fear range against some classes out in the world or BGs, running in to get an aoe fear off does nothing but get you killed, and the fight won’t go on that long for the fear to get back up, not as a geared Spriest, you’ll kill or go oom and be pushin daisies.

Shadowguard gud? lol no.

Feral literally isn’t a thing in classic. Druid plays a dot n rot spec and it is mandatory to have 4 piece genisis. You will be a free kill for along time as druid.

Go rogue for world ganks

Dwarf is not better than undead priest for pvp. Yes, both have a way to get out of fear but horde priests fight alliance, where they dont have wotf. If youre alliance you gotta deal with every undead player having a way to get out of fear, not just a dwarf priest like horde has to deal with.

Horde also has troll which is another great shadow priest race for pvp due to shadowguard proccing blackout amd dealing respectable damage.

One more thing, devouring plague isnt really all that unless you pop it with inner focus as it costs a crap ton of mana otherwise.

Also, some people enjoy playing the race/class that is considered best and grt more enjoyment out of that. I dont think that makes them an idiot lol.
