Any suggestions on how to get better at the spec? Things to look out for? Talent choices? Common mistakes to try to avoid?
In black rook dont dive into the starting room and die like most warriors do.
Ive only done rss and blitz so far and close to 1800 with little work. Pay attention when your healer is cc’ed or you see big cds and just go dstance. Ive found more syccess in playing 1min rally over the other shouts pvp talents.
Just go dstance during cds and go ham on them after. Arms has very strong damage and at low mmr you can get away with just playing scared and only goin battle in your goes and getting kills that way.
Also dont chase hunters mages or evokers you will waste your mobility and end up stranded in the middle of the map stuck in a root. You cant keep up with them. If they recklessly waste their mobility then yea go for them.
Don’t charge into freedoms.
Swap into D-stance if you’re getting trained outside of your CDs or if you aren’t on top of your target.
Don’t hit into enemy defensives.
Think of sharpen blade as CC. It’s great to use in your target after their healer is coming out of CC.
Most importantly, just play fury because it’s pretty much the same spec but runs faster, applies more single-target pressure and can bladestorm more frequently for big dam.
Idk why but I can’t seem to do the damage on fury that I do on arms, definitely a l2p issue but idk what I’m doing wrong
The single target pressure is definitely better on fury.
Arms can put out a lot of cleave pressure but it’s basically meaningless with the amount of casters and pet classes. A lot of the dam on details shouldn’t be considered as effective.
You can check my warriors’ talents and gear if you’d like as a starting point.
Murlok. io is also a great resource to get a feel of what the top warriors are running for both specs.
At the end of the day, play what you have fun with! The only thing that really lets you improve is getting more reps in.
Good luck!
