Do you know what a “tinker” is? A person that builds technology. Sound familiar?
Look up the actual class in warcraft lore and see what they actually do. That or just play W2 and 3 and hero of the storm.

Feel free inform yourself dude, there are PLENTY of ideas/expressions of what a tinker could be in this thread.
Otherwise give WC3 reforged a try, you’ll find Goblin Tinker among the available heroes.

Your request yes, however it seems like there are A LOT of things floating in these threads as wish listing and my statement was more about “don’t get your hopes up for when it comes out.” Numerous different ideas of what a Tinker should be basically, beyond your suggestion.
Honestly I think class in a mech suit is a bit pie in the sky to ask for but i also didn’t expect dracthyr to be a thing.
FWIW I dont like the idea of a tinker class, I am not however someone who tells other people what they can and can’t like though. So if you do get Tinkers I’ll be happy for those who wanted them.

I want a class centered around technology and its use.
Blizzard has so much awesome character and aesthetic in its tech, I want to use it as a player, tanking a raid/dungeon ideally heh.
People demanding/expecting specifics are putting up walls where in the end it’s entirely up to Blizz and their dev team.
That’s fair. I generally dislike the tech themes in WoW but that’s also fair too.
I still want to have playable Ethereal’s. Which yeah I get they have tech but it seems more magitek than gnome or goblins.
This was my point entirely.

Have you actually ever done the engineering profession. The only thing you can even use in combat is the bombs and those are always worse than using potions which they share a cooldown with.
Everything else is out of combat stuff like teleports, repair bots, or glider.
There would be virtually no overlap between the engineering profession and a tech based combat class because engineering doesn’t do anything at all in combat.

Check out the Engineer archetype in other MMOs. You’ll realize WoW’s Engi profession has virtually 0 overlap with the class fantasy that can actually be portrayed
