I’m really starting to believe that blizz has implemented full scale bots to the random bgs to “fill” the teams. 99% of the time half the people never say a word in a bg and horde loses so many lately. Some are so bad, its literally a comp stomp.
And thats when it hit me… were getting qued with bots. That resemble players with random names.
A little secret needs to be shared.
I had been working on a new concept of crypto currency project for my company which I won’t advertise here nor say who I am IRL, keeping me as anonymous always and came across a interface you can play wow through.
It costs money to use but it also includes a copy of the game, you see everything just like you would natively on your screen playing from your computer. But you play from a website…
I forget how much it costs I have read about these when I used tp pvp on Battlefield 3 and how automated it makes the game, it will actually play the game for you which makes it very much bot like.
Wow, blizzard and the GM’s are totally unable to detect a person using this whimsical application is obviously for people who are so rich they love to blow money monthly on junkware because I use my money for much more constructive projects that have nothing to do with playing online games.
So that might be what you mean by your so called BOT, blizzard wayyyy back in the old days killed off the code that allow you to create bots in-game. Oh there is still a powerful language to use for thing just not as cool as it was in the beginning with the famous chinese gold farmers and all.
I know gold farmers existed, in a guild I had years ago we had one that i kept real secret from everyone so we always had a guy we could buy gold from and get really awesome items…
Winning the objectives is usually determined by the makeup/comp of the team and their gear way before skill even comes into play. Thus people are beginning to que for BGs just for the fighting and not for the objectives.
Winning isn’t really up to you unless you are fully geared.
Just fighting is more fun than these outdated objectives in BGs for half the BGS if not most.
Old stale BGs are getting boring and people are just doing whatever.
At this point I welcome bots, because they do more the objectives lol.
If they were using them to gather data and fine tune their behavior you would think their behavior would have changed at least a little bit in the last few years, but it hasn’t. They perform the same exact routines they have since they were put in.
You’d think the alliance druid that keeps running the same path over and over again heading to farm to try to ninja cap it would use it’s advanced “machine learning” to stop doing an action that leads to it dying repeatedly in the same exact way for several years straight.
You think that they would invest all the time and resources of a fully integrated AI solution across multiple specs and roles into a once monthly free conquest map?
My man, they are clearly an abandoned project. They were probably planning on more things like island expeditions, but since that didn’t work out the project was dropped.
You do realize that they have not been changed since they were put in? They are still using spells and animations from BFA or whenever they were first put in. Their programmed routine has not changed. They are not advanced AI. They do not learn.
We have no idea if they are being worked on, if their routines have changed or anything about it other than anecdotal “yep they still pushing GM” evidence. There could be live bots playing against you right now and you’d have no idea. The Comp Stomp bots aren’t the AI, they are just a dance the model uses for it’s 1.0-2.0 versions. We could have 8.0 bots using the same model.
