New skins for Moonkin

hey all,

I was walking around the Shadowlands the other day and I got to thinking, short of the the glyph for astral form we haven’t got new appearances that haven’t been tied to character race. This is WoWs 9th expansion and I think that it is time for that to change. I am no artist therefore couldn’t offer any visual but I certainly have a few ideas where Blizz could start.

  1. Natural:

Simple glyph to have moonkin talent while appearing normal. reason. some people spend so much time building x-mog sets but always have to look at owl or see through blue version of their set.

2 Ancient:

While treants have been used for healers before some form of tree appearance akin to the ancients of lore or wisdom would be a neat idea. Caster by default use intelligence which makes the ancients, that trained the original druids in WCIII, a great inspiration for a balance druid skin.

  1. Solar or Lunar Form:

With Astral form working so well perhaps create 2 more glyphs 1 for solar one for lunar. This would add color options,

  1. Fire Form:

With Feral and Guardian each having a flaming form perhaps create a fire touched moonkin. Lore wise explain that there was once a moonkin like Icarus who flew too close to the sun and caught fire. Maybe hide it behind a mystery achievement like fly for X amount of time using flap without touching the ground. like the people who reportedly flew from Ardenweald to the maw as a goblin moonkin.

  1. Covenant Appearance:

While most moonkins will likely end up with the night fae for the [Convoke] ability perhaps a new form based on our new covenants could be in order for example:
Kyrian - get a steward like appearance (mini-moomkin) or maybe mnemiss
skin
Necro - Get a cultist styled skin
Night - Get Faerie form (like Lady Moonberry)
Venth- Get Stone form

I could spend hours brainstorming ideas but will let you guys tell me what you think.

I dont even care if earning these requires completing some form of challenge. it would just be nice to have more options like the feral and guardians have.

As for the Solar and Lunar forms, there is an artist who created four extra colors of glyph of stars that i would be perfectly happy to use. I do not remember his name nor am i trust level enough to share a link, but he’s got a dark purple tint, an emerald green tint, a lighter blue tint, and a nightmare red tint. I’d be perfectly content for long time if blizzard gave us even those.

Just give back the tiger man form from WOD. I would pay for it

Man I still don’t get why moonkins didn’t get artifact forms in legion… seeing the weapon is a lame excuse. Id pay real money for a glowy moonkin form similar to the bear balance of power one.

Omg, yes!

And I had this idea a while back: what if our astral form changed colors based on what our eclipse state was. Have a solar, a lunar, a CA, and a no eclipse coloration. I really wish Blizz would show Boomies some shapeshift skin love. Even if they only mimic what they give to the bears and kitties.

Resurrecting this thread because with how great boomies look in DF, they need to get the cosmetic love, as well! So many cool ways to implement. And I could see some cool dragon flight inspired looks, if for none other than greens. Show Ysera some love, eh?
