It’s so boring! All you do is maintain a couple dots and use Devouring Plague and Mind Blast on cooldown. How is this better than old voidform? It’s so awful. All you whiners who whined and forced this change deserve coal for Christmas.
Well I guess its your turn to whine now .
To my knowledge, it was changed due to how they nerfed Voidform in Shadowlands. Not because of how SPriest was in BFA.
But again, I maybe incorrect on that.
Also, yeah a tad ironic
Simple!!! i rather my insanity be for maintaining dots and bettering my Voidform that is now a cooldown instead of an essential mechanic that gates me from being an existing dps half the time!!!
Easy fix: Make voidform weaker and/or capped, then buff base damage. It did not require a complete rework into a boring as hell spec.
They don’t want an actual dot spec. Even affliction plays roughly the same.
Pretty sure there is a talent choice that reverts to the old play style anyway? no?
But i do agree we did not really need to axe voidform, we needed power re-allocation .
They removed that.
You’re posting on the wrong class.
actually it’s way better
I’m biased and i cannot say i’m really gonna miss it
speak for yourself, i love the new shadow priest…
i say that i completely disagree with your taste for gameplay here
Everyone has differing opinions. I enjoyed the old voidform/insanity as I found it more engaging to constantly try to keep voidform up longer, and get back into it quicker.
Where as now I look at the screen and just go “Ooooooooooh, pretty ghosts!” every time I mindblast.
I wish they had gone further and removed Void Form and Insanity completely. I liked the spec much better before the Legion changes… Shadow Orbs over Insanity any time. But this was a step in the right direction.
Eh, it’s got some good points and some bad points.
Mostly I’m just tired of the fact that we’re 16 years into this game, and yet there are still spec rotations/identities that aren’t locked down.
You think this won’t change a bit at end game based on covenant abilities etc?
it’s because the voidform was working as a “huuuuggee ramp” to do some good DMG - this is ok for pvE but oh god…in pvp…no dude. no.
The pvp problem was - all other classes having a burst moment but shadowpriest needs to feel a bar to use a thing that can be easily avoided and predicted…
Agree. I enjoyed the urgency/manicness of maintaining void form for as long as possible. There were some problems sure but turning it into a boring damage cooldown was IMO not the solution.
So why not request the “voidform” playstyle they removed be put on a new class like the former Shadow priests of old expansions did when Legion happened? My main issue is Voidform should have been a whole new classes identity and not overhauled an existing spec. (Same with other specs facing issues due to unforeseen overhauls for the sake of a new “class identity”.)
You’re posting on a warlock and complaining about dots?
New spriest is so much better
