I have an idea to use the ability Mind Control that could best fit the Priest Motif. You see, the most sinister part of being a shadow priest is to control someone else’s free will, making them only a puppet to the master controlling them. These Shadow Priests can act even more sinister than the most dastardly of warlocks.
In a nutshell, the ability, “Dominate Mind” could be used as some sort of way to create more permanent minions, like hunter pets where you tame beasts. However, instead of taming animals, you fully dominate a mind of a humanoid victim, thus having a loyal “follower” be your minion to fight by your side indefinitely.
