When the new fulhunter customizations were announced, three new models were shown. A red fire version, a fel fire version, and a shadow version. However there’s no way to obtain the shadow felhunter in-game even though the model is in the barbershop. Is this intended as a secret or a bug?
never saw a shadow version of the new dreadhound model. but if you’re referring to the dark skin felhunters, one drops from Time Rift bosses and the other from Felhounds boss in Antorus
It’s the model on the right and it is in-game also but not as an option to select. It just randomly displays when you pick the new felhunter model option without choosing a color. Then when you do choose which color, only red & green fire are selectable. I wish they didn’t scrap the idea or maybe it’s just a bug?

I have the fire fel hound and then did the quest to turn him purple. The fire part took me about 10 hours long quest line and grind. The post above I have the middle ones exxactly pictured I love it I see zero other locks with it very unique

The fire fel hound is one long quest line all on its own and you ONLY have the red option as a choice at that point. For me to turn mine purple it was another whole quest to get that option. My guess in the 3rd option “shadow” is another quest maybe people havent figured out yet? Its a ton of work and dedication if you want these customizations. Ill have to look into figuring out how to unlock the last option
I’ve unlocked the felfire dreadhound as well, it was from a book in Karazhan I think? Sometimes though when I choose the old felhunter & then switch it back to dread hound the shadow option pops up like a glitch, but its not in the color selection 
I wish they add it in with the upcoming tyrant options. It’s a shame really since warlocks use these 3 types of magic in-game, fel fire and shadow.

Yeah I looked youre right the shadow version doesnt even list as a locked option
