New Server Type

I think Blizzard needs to open up a new server type, one for slow levelers like myself. I am really enjoying the process. I level a little, do some a couple dungeon runs maybe hit the professions or jump on an alt. I actually enjoy trying to get all the best gear from a dungeon even though it is completely unnecessary for leveling (though it is nice). At this rate I will still be under level cap when phase two hits.

Be nice if there was a server for people like me who take 6 months+ to level and then probably another 4-5 months doing phase 1 raids and dungeons.

Do realize I am not actually asking Blizzard for this server since it would never happen and probably be a completely dead server anyway but it does sound kind of nice.

If you inspect me, you will notice I don’t all the best gear from dungeon (or even decent gear). The dungeon gear grinding is just something I started today and realized I enjoy.

The question is: how slow is slow?

Quite impossible to implement. Some people might be slow for 2 months, and then have a real burst and vice versa.

How does Blizzard keep a server lively though over time, I wonder. As characters age, and the population increases until it’s full and some parts of the population get left behind.

New content?

Oh I have totally not thought it through and as you point out, probably harder to implement then just going slower. What would have been cool would be for them to maybe have a server where there is a phase 0.5. Where the level cap is set to 40. Maybe do that for a 3 or 4 months then increase go into phase one for another 6 months or so. But like you said probably be a real pain to implement and I am sure it would be an unpopular server.

The servers will still be there. What are you asking for, exactly?

Slowing people down cuz you are slow isn’t a server type.

I thought maybe he was asking for a sever that was faster to level up on because he was slow ?

that being the case my suggestion is put 15% bonus xp on the low population realm/factions to give intensive for people to roll them

Why are you guys even responding to this?

My real concern is phase two. If they release it in January or February then honestly no big deal - even slow people like me will easily have hit 60. But man, if they were to release it at the start of December, for me that would suck. I would either have to rush to 60 or just face that fact that I would get ganked like crazy from 50 onward.

Like a +XP type server?

That wouldn’t be too bad, actually, but I could see a lot of people flocking to it just to hit 60.

Since they aren’t supposedly adding any more content you will always have people running alts so you wont miss out on any of the “phases” as if they were fresh. Retail on the other hand, miss the current patch, too bad. NEXT!

You are probably right. Just to clarify also would not want a plus xp server. I am fine leveling up slow. On retail when I used to raid hard I would always level quickly when a new expansion came through - I knew coming into Classic that I did not want to do that. Again, I know Blizzard would not do this and I am not seriously asking them to do it.

Honestly man, I didn’t get real into vanilla till like July 2005. Idk what was out, idk what was popular, all I know was people were still playing and doing everything. Don’t be afraid that people will stop runnning UD Strat or doing tribute runs; there will always be people down to jam. Just do your thing at your own pace.

Sounds like you need to be playing BFA at your own pace.

I don’t know how to respond to this thread. So I’ll just say two things.

One, he was jokingly asking for server of other like-minded people who level slow, not a server which grants xp boosts to level slower people, faster.

Secondly, I too actually thoroughly enjoy getting all BiS gear as I leveled. I did that; all throughout my 20s to 40s I was completely decked out. Nothing but blues. It of course didn’t continue onward as that would’ve been too unreasonable but I feel ya OP, it was nice being a beast for your level range. However I’m still 59 and I thought I was leveling slow. You sir, are on another level lol.

Good news! The things other people are doing don’t effect you. Take your sweet time and ignore them.

I’m slow to level for a different reason: I’m an altoholic. I’m purely unable to play 1 class. In Classic I have two 22s and a 21, 20, 18, 15, 13, 14 and 10. That’s all 9 classes.

I also don’t do max-level stuff (raiding, pvp, mythic dungeons) so I have no reason to rush to 60. For me the only benefit of a high-level character is easier gold farming and profession leveling.

The only problem this would help is “harder to find my-level players to group with, when most players are 50-60”. That has already happened at low levels (deadmines, WC) but I agree with people above: there will always be alts coming through.

Of course the guy that has 15 minutes to play a day. Wants more exp so he can Level. He also wants a prize for logging in. Sigh why must you ruin this game to make it BFA lite?

Sigh, why must you not actually read what I wrote but instead write aggrieved comments on what you imagine I wrote. Sigh

No they need the player base to play the game and let 50% of them his 60 before launching new content.

All they need do is STOP catering to these Youtube kiddies!

There is a consequence to asking for this: An RP will want one, a Pvp one will be asked, and don’t forget Oceanic and Brazil. This causes a thinning out of population. Then what happens is that you won’t be able to find groups of your level.
