First time seeing this one. Priest was instantly fading harpoon, but it wasn’t working well and was easy to juke. It was happening so quickly that the fade was over almost as soon as I landed. They were also making no attempt to death after. Weird stuff.
Anyone else seen this happening with other CC?
Sounds like a git gud situation.

For the priest, for sure. The script wasn’t working well and made it easier to CC him.
I can confirm, every time I’m cyclone, they fade instantly.
Probably not. They are probably reacting fast enough.
It’s not super human reaction time, and it is not impossible by any means.
Anything with a travel time in the game can be handled this way with a simple auditory stimulation.
A normal, healthy, human brain under normal circumstances can respond significantly faster to an auditory stimulation than it can to a visual stimulation.
You could train yourself with the auditory response like they do with lab rat behavioral testing.
Build a WeakAura
Trigger on a combat log action
Spell - Cast Start
Source Reaction - Hostile
Spell Name - Harpoon and whatever else you want to add
Select Actions
Play Sound
Sound - Pick a short duration sound that you will be able hear clearly and identify through other game sounds.
Play with this for a few days. Keep track of your success and practice.
After about a week you will be able to counter those moves 100% of the time when it is possible.

trap actually has to leave your hand and fade is off global
if anyone was gonna make a bot they would have the trigger be the actual trap not the harpoon which would get it 10/10 times even at pointblank
this just sounds like a priest who was fading on harpoon and misjudging how long fade was active

as others said, if it was a script you would not get any CC.
you got ur cc on him because he was using a WA sound and reacting in a human way.
have you seen the bots in this game? the bots dont do mistakes lol and i dont think a bot dev would waste time to make a bad script idk
No, it wasn’t that. Reacting to harpoon is already easy. It was reacting so quickly that fade was over by the time I landed on the priest. When you plays 1,000’s of games, these things stick out. The same priest made no attempt to death any traps and it actually made it easier to trap them then normal.
This happened every time and the priest got trapped every time.
It was happening instantly though. It made me laugh. From max range fade was over by the time I got to him and he got trapped every time.
No, I think it was poorly done.
Harpoon was likely just grouped in with other CC and was set to trigger as soon as the ability was used.
I’d need to see it to believe is because this does not sound like a script that anyone would make or use. It sounds just like normal human error. Maybe he didn’t understand how trap works or misjudged the fade time. Possibly new to priest as well since he wasn’t deathing traps. Maybe he had you on focus for ToT and saw when you targeted him and tried to fade that way.
They were 1800 and had plenty of games played, so not new by any means.
I’m not targeting people to harpoon.
Is this why all my cyclones get faded
