The new death knight runeforging enchants look GREAT. So great that I can’t help but worry that it will become the indisputable meta to go dual-wield frost in order to equip two of these enchants.
After we have waited so long for two-handed frost, this would be a huge letdown.
I really hope that these effects are either stronger or proc more often with a two-handed weapon. It would be heartbreaking to see the long-awaited two-handed frost (and not to mention unholy) suffer from these awesome new additions.
Edit: Another thought - to have two runeforges on two-handed weapons.

I’d like to see razor ice just built into the spec as a passive. Then give 2h options for 2 runes. That would give some real customization options since razor ice will be a must pic. Or go back and make some runes 1h vs 2h only maybe?
But also leads to question, if you have 2 runes for frost 2h, would they do the same for UH and blood?

I’d like to think they aren’t just going to leave it in such an unbalanced state, especially with what seems to be a special amount of attention towards DKs in Shadowlands. I’m really fond of the idea of Razorice becoming a passive, so I hope they go down that route.

Even if razorice gets baked into the spec itself, that will still leave the issue of DW having two runeforges and 2h only having one. Something else will take its place or enable something that DW can do but 2h cannot.
I’m not sure if they can enable a second enchant though just for frost since it’s still effectively an enchant. Maybe they can add some sort of item that can go in the offhand for Frost spec DK only that allows you to enchant? I don’t know if they’ll change enchanting as a whole for a single spec.
True. I’d be very happy if they built razor in and gave 2h 2 runes. I’d LOVE that. But only time will tell

This would be interesting. Death knight sigils come to mind from WotLK… Maybe these could make a comeback as a placeholder exclusively for runeforges for 2H specs?

Sorry if this has already been said, but one thing they could also do to, aside from the possibility of 2 runeforges on a 2 hander, would be make runeforges unique so you can’t double up on certain ones. Another solution I’ve seen suggested here is make 2 handed only runeforges that combine 2 of the 1 handed ones into one. Also I fully agree with razorice being baked in as a passive, and possibly also bake in fallen crusader to veteran of the third war.

It’s already pretty well understood that they added 2H frost to quell the whining and that it isn’t going to out perform DW frost outside of 1 tier at best. You lose a massive execute, your auto attack dps is lower, your obliterates are identical, and so on. They should have just let people transmog DW to 2H so they could keep everything balanced. As it is now, Frost will go back to being useless after first tier with unholy taking over.
