New RTX 3060 ultra settings 80 fps

i am curious as to what is going on as i just put in a new video card, EVGA RTX 3060 12 GB, and i set everything to ultra and maxing at 80 fps not sure what else i can do or is wow limited to 80 fps

Make sure you don’t have the frame limiter on in advanced graphics settings. You should be getting more fps than that, unless your cpu is just weak. This of course I say permitting temps are fine and pc is up2date, also on NVidia forums some users are reporting lower than normal fps with latest driver. Another thing is where are you testing this at? IF? Oribos? and is this with or without addons enabled?

Do you run two monitors? I have a similar issue with the new drivers and KB update where my fps will vsync to my 60hz monitor, instead of my 144hz monitor. I can fix it by running /console gxrestart

Hopefully Microsoft and Nvidia will fix that little bug soon.

If you run geforce experience, it’s possible that it’s enabled vsync for you in the nvidia control panel. That or you might have it enabled in WoW. You could always disable those if you don’t want them.

I’m on the same boat. I was getting steady 100 to 120 fps on the highest settings with a rtx 3070 and a 10700k. After the patch, I can hit as low as 50 fps in crowded zones with the same settings.

Do you have ray tracing on high?

I’m getting 60 on a new 6700 XT, but your GPU is also limited by your CPU. Mine just happens to be a APU, the AMD 5400g, which I hope to upgrade in the near future to a Ryzen 5 or 7 5000 series, but for now with the CPU, the GPU is limited to PCI-E 3.0, the card is a 4.0.

So just upgrading your card does not always mean a performance boost, especially in a CPU bound game.

i think it may be my refresh rate on my tv am using for my monitor its 60 hz
