Ok everyone, just checking in to see who is working on these new rings and what you think about them.
I mostly play holy but have played disc and shadow over the years.
Is this ring good for any of those specs? Just curious what others think and if this is worth fussing over.
My priest has pretty decent gear, with holy dungeon gear being 417 and raid being 416. I imagine I could figure up a more recent disc and shadow set that would be similar or within 5 ilvl I think.
What is everyone doing?

The damage procs seem OK. I picked up the humming arcane stone and the frost one and together they’re putting out a decent chunk in dungeon as a healer. Haven’t rolled any of the healing ones, but I’ve heard they’re pretty mediocre.
At max upgrade the ring is 424, so it’s possibly good? Nobody knows for sure yet though. Even on PTR it didn’t see a ton of testing, so it’s all mostly theory now.

Seems hard to justify on Disc since the damage procs don’t trigger atonement.

In M+:
Desirous Blood Stone, Prophetic Twilight Stone, Pestilent Plague Stone
Seems very good. It’s quite a lot of extra damage.
For healing I tried Wild Spirit Stone, Exuding Steam Stone, Desirous Blood stone and it also seemed like it contributed quite a bit. With that setup, rings were able to do ~10-15% of my healing. So possibly very good in situations you need a ton of healing. I imagine the deluging water stone is also probably good instead of blood, but I didn’t have it to try.
Also if you’re fairly high on crit, I’ve seen the storm infused stone do quite a bit (but I don’t have it so can’t test).
There’s supposedly an OP healing combo with Wind Sculpted Stone and Wild Spirit Stone where just jumping is considered movement and triggers the nature effect for the Wild Spirit Stone to heal.
I myself am partial to the double frost healing stones and mana restore.
That ‘dance combo’ was found yesterday and was fixed yesterday. Basically there’s a few hours worth of logs of people using it.
I got storm infused stone and it’s really good. Did a lot of testing between stones in random M+ around 18-21
Currently I think Storm Infused, Prophetic twilight and Desirous Blood is probably the highest DPS combo.
Storm infused, prophetic twilight and exuding steam is a good hybrid between healing and damage.
Exuding Steam, Deluging Water and Wild Spirit is probably the best ‘all heals’ ring.

I have been testing the Exuding Steam, Wild Spirit, and Deluging Water stone in Mythic + and in several +20’s, the stones contributed
~ 2.21M (4.2%) - Exuding Steam
~ 1.74M (3.3%) - Wild Spirit
~ 828k (1.6%) - Deluging Water Stone
They were each lower than my Broodkeeper’s Promise, which was surprising, because this week’s affix has me spooked away from melee range. Lol
Those numbers were an average after five Mythic+ dungeons, no raids. Hope this helps!

I watched automaticjaks video and made a ring with Storm Infused Stone, Desirous Blood Stone, and Prophetic Twilight Stone.
As Holy the Storm Infused did 8.19 mil damage and the Blood Stone did 4.76 mil in a key. Also, the Blood Stone heals for a lot… it did 4.3 million healing and 86% of that was overhealing. It’s a 20% dps upgrade.
Haven’t gotten the prophetic twilight stone to drop yet, so I played around checking out the pure healing output. Did two sets of mythic+ 21-22s, (plus a few partial runs that got abandoned partway through).
first set:
- cold frost stone: 3.4%
- exuding steam stone: 3.3%
- deluging water stone: 3.0%
second set:
- cold frost stone- 3.3%
- exuding steam stone: 3.3%
- deluging water stone: 4.3%
One thing I found out last night is that Storm Infused gem can proc and pull extra trash packs over in the last boss area in RBG. I casted mass dispel on the little lightning adds and it proced on them and pulled extra stuff and wiped us.
I think I read somewhere that they fixed that? ^ Hopefully that is the case!
So is this what you would suggest for raid? I a finally upgrading some stones and working on building a ring to try in raid. Working on heroic Raz and trying to maximize all healing.
Personally, yes. They were doing about 6k HPS in heroic Raz for me last week with like 30% overhealing, and I only have a 411 ring since I didn’t upgrade anything last week and have mostly been raidlogging.
Anyone know if the absorb gems work with Prophetic Twilight Stone?
I tested different gem combinations and the storm infused + blood stone + prophetic stone is pretty much miles ahead of the other dps combos because when the bloodstone triggers it has double the proc chance on storm infused and leads into a bit of a feedback loop. Also, storm infused scales really well with burning vehemence because each hit from it is treated like a separate attack instead of an aoe ability.
Healing wise deluging water stone, exuding steam, and wild spirit stone is the highest hps.
However, I liked the combination of cold frost stone + exuding + wild spirit stone for raid. Overall it was about 8.12% of my healing and the cold frost stone mitigates quite a bit of damage. On a 13 minute raz pull it mitigated 1.44mil damage.
