my 402 pvp ring gives twice the amount of dps (5-6%) as the 424 BIS stone ring (2.5-3%) from this update… super disappointing give us the ability to add secondary stats or buff the stones by 200-300%

Well, it’s not great for a lot of situations.
The problems is @424 it should be. But for alts with a low iLvl ring it’s probably pretty good
At the end of season too lol
Total junk, sims lower than my 415 ring and the Onyx is 424. Simmed in multiple scenarios and underperformed in every test.

There is no winning with certain players, they cry if something feels mandatory, then they cry when Blizz makes it in such a way that it won’t feel mandatory so they won’t feel forced to do it and they cry it’s useless.

i dont i speced mine for dps, and i seem to enjoy it. and notice a difference. only takes about 2hours and jewl crafter to hash out.
That’s not what I was getting at, at all.
I posed the question earlier in the thread. Is it better than it is not BIS and thus you don’t feel like you have to take it, or should it be BIS and you feel nerfed when it goes away in season 2.
People were complaining this was just going to be shards of domination all over again, and now they’re complaining it’s not shards of domination.

People wanted horizontal progression and this is it.
People that were promised a ring upgrade for the start of season 2 probably, I mean people do sub for this sort of stuff to make their character more powerful.
They’ll buff it until it’s BiS for most. “Relevant” was also thrown out there meaning to me at least that someone wearing a 418+ bis or higher ring likely wouldn’t need it.
I mean it could of been a fun one off deal similar to corruptions but they didn’t implement it well.
It’s like the trinkets in Mechagon. It’s for alts to catch up so they don’t have to waste money on more expensive jewelry. It’s not for mains doing all the content.
Blizzard could’ve easily made the Onyx Annulet best in slot by changing the Primordial Stones to grant primary and secondary statistics; have them organized by type like they are now but you can only slot one type at a time, so players create their best ring. But no, Blizzard HAS to make things convoluted as always…
The ring is BiS, those who say it isn’t have not simmed their character or tested it. I don’t understand why people who do basic content like LFR and M+ under 15 keys even have an opinion on this.
Right? The people saying it sucks are just parroting whatever they see everyone else saying. It nearly doubled my prot pally ST damage.
Some of the gem combos are downright broken.
One combination of all the gems is BiS, and we don’t know if that synergy is intended. We’ve gone from “this ring is worthless” to “this ring is worthwhile (with a large caveat)” in a single day, and devs have yet to comment on either side of the spectrum.
It was just released and most sims don’t even correctly account for it.
