New ring citrines are a problem

These things are broken. This was admittedly a super short game, but the damage % isn’t that out of line from what I’ve been seeing most games (10-20%). They dont seem to have an ICD or PPM, so you can get all 3 procs off a single instant if you’re lucky. They also seem to be nerfed correctly on the pvp dummies, but are doing full damage against actual players, which is just icing on the cake because anyone trying to test this would think they’re garbo

ya I can imagine, basically the more buttons you press the more dam potential it has

They seem to be based odf of number of globals pressed, so high apm specs like outlaw and ww are just destroying with them. Also doesn’t seem to proc from dot damage either.

Just finished a 3s game, and yeah these rings need looking at.

I don’t know how to link the details but …

Fury Warrior
Rampage: 20.7M 20.3%
Bladestorm: 9.9M 9.7%
Raging Blow: 8.24M 8.1%
Squall Sailor’s Citrine: 8.2M 8%
Execute: 7.35M 7.2%
Thunderlord’s Crackling Citrine: 6.42M 6.3%

At no time should a single item outside of maybe a weapon do 14% of your total damage. Thats insane. Need more nerfs!

Haha i know it doesnt belong in pvp, but they have been a fun twist and super easy to get.

I think you can follow the fresh sweat droppings to Siren’s Isle as this info gets further out.

Looks at the peeps now sprinting to get the citrines…must get before…nerf…

how do you get these? early and often and all that

Well now it looks like I’ll be making a trip to low effort content island

But it does make me wonder: we are about to see an influx of these rings in PvP, but how does the word even get out? If I end up grabbing the ring specifically for PvP, it’s due to this post. Yet majority of WoW pvpers barely read the forums so it makes you wonder how word even gets out. Reddit maybe?

I just went and checked out the new island, saw the ring was 639ilvl (at the start, upgrades to 649 so far) and that the +damage gems were pumping, and then tested it out in some skirms. It’s pretty quick to get the ring and all the gems, like a couple hours at most

At the NE part of dornagal there’s a zeppelin with an NPC that ports you to the isle of siren. Do all the quests here and you’ll get the ring+gems

the 75% nerf has been removed with the latest hotfixs. devs keep reverting it by mistake. sad.

stg this is a staple of their game design- one pve grind per major content patch for pvp bis

i, for one, would rather they just bill my acct whenever they see fit

It sucks for pet classes.

Go to siren isle. Complete the quests. Takes like 30 minutes tops, very very easy!

That’s not the case at all. I’ve used the ring since Siren Isle dropped and I do PvP everyday and the damage from it is MUCH higher outside of PvP.

The issue is they removed the time gating aspect to the ring so everyone is able to get the gems that suit their class most and it’s already had 2 Ilvl increases quests so it’s currently sitting around Ilvl 645 and increasing the damage further.

In this case it’s not really a grind, you kind of just show up to the island and get a 639 ring with 3 gem slots thrown at you

Anything worth for healers?
