New/returning players and Queues

Do you think these hours long queues will turn off a lot of new players? (and even some returning players) Most new players are likely trying it out because of someone they know…meaning they want to play with them on their likely capped server. So going to low pop servers is probably not an option.

We all expected queues however part of the Vanilla experience or any game for that matter is the beginning…at this rate a lot of people won’t even be able to play until they have a day off of work/school or whatever. By then, the interest may be gone.

Corvinus, I have to agree. I am very disappointed in the long queue times. Its day 2 since the release and I still haven’t been able to get in. During the week I cant wait hours to get in. I have some friends who work shift so they are up in the early morning and they were able to play. This is horrible. Fifteen years of experience should have taught them something.

Yes. I wanted to play with friends… not wait in 8 hour queues. I specifically subscribed just to play Classic, which I can’t play because the idiots at Blizzard can’t do simple math. When I pay for a product I expect to have access to that product immediately. Not 20 mins from now… not 15 mins from now. IMMEDIATELY. Now, even if I wait a month all my friends will be ahead of me which means I won’t be playing with them anyways.

I think Blizzard has forgotten how to work with and communicate with it’s customers. They treat us like people who OWE them something instead of a company who offers a product which we pay for.

Hell with them. I stopped playing over a year ago and had hoped that this would be different. They haven’t learned anything.,

It will definitely turn off new players. The only people not pissed off or aggravated at this are the people that will legitimately defend everything Blizzard does; the really, really die-hard Blizzard fans. If most normal Blizzard fans are angry, any new play trying to try it out or play with friends isn’t even going to know what to say about it.

As someone on Herod who hasn’t complained about queue times for myself, I do agree that this will instantly turn off any people who are coming back after years, or new people coming to see the hype.

Thing is, the average player does not have 10, 8, 6 or even 4 hours to wait around for a game to launch. I’m not even sure how already created guild are working around this. Any hope of leveling together is completely out the window.

Could-- My queue time for tonight was only 5 mins.

Yes I experienced this as well at around 3 in the morning…5 min queues that is.

They might have made some adjustments?
