ty blizzard. You could have made it easy for my friends and I to plan out our awesome time reminiscing and playing classic wow together. Instead you have scattered us to and fro. No one knows where they should play anymore. One guy gets into the server but the others can’t so they go to the new server. The next day, that server is full too so in order to play, we have to go the the next server. Now people have alts and mains everywhere. We planned this for months and you should have been to. What should have been awesome gaming between friends has turned into nothing but a cluster $*)%. You guys should be ashamed of the way you handled this. What an embarrassment for your company. It has been nothing but frustration for your costumers. Even if classic wow dies out, you won’t be able to say, “see I told you”. If anything, the way you handled this classic launch, is going to make people throw in the towel. Still the same old blizzard fudging up a good thing.
Already been said many times…TRANSFERS… Or maybe Blizz can try to tag these named quest mobs surrounded by 50 people for me for the 3rd time…
Exactly. people will eventually quit after 4 days of making lvl 10-20s lol then the dead servers will finish off the rest. FFS blizzard add char transfer!

You’re wrong. Sure the new servers may have ques and sure people will rush to them. Thats the idea. More servers = more players spread out between them. It’s simple math. But the bottom line here is that Blizzard misinterpreted how big this launch would actually be. They didn’t release anywhere near the amount of servers that were required on launch day. They see the error of their ways and are constantly adding more servers to try and fix the ridiculous ques but I suspect that they will still need to add more to make some sort of impact with these lengthy que times.

terrible roll out. been in queue for 3 hours now, why would i switch now and leave the progress i’ve made thus far?? shame on you blizz, hopefully we get a day or two of game time added to our accounts for this debacle
History repeats itself………and blizzards stocks surged yesterday hmmmmmm. Too bad we couldn’t do something like open a bunch of servers knowing they will be crunched down to fewer servers as populations decrease.

So little…so late.
I can not get my head around reserving a name well in advance and then being told to move for the “best experience” because the realm filled up. I have not been able to log on to the realm I chose when name reservations opened up. In fact upon first logging in I was faced with about 25000 people in line and a wait time of 16 hours.
That is one hell of a queue even for a patient person. I did get to play for a couple of hours early this morning but could not get back on again after a number of disconnects (probably from my end).
Retail does not interest me and has not for a number of years. As a returning player I am deeply disappointed by my experience so far. At this rate it will be about 3 weeks before I get to play classic, on the realm we chose, (couple of weeks when I renewed to reserve my name and about a week for “things to settle down” - and that’s a maybe).
I had nothing to do today (since I had set time aside for Classic) so I made several posts in the forums making my viewpoint clear about the various “solutions” put forth.

Sure, then what happens when half these noobs realize how much work goes into playing vanilla and stop playing and populations dry up. Blizz claimed they could layer these servers and that is what they need to do.
Are there any talks about letting full server players transfer to lower pop servers once things balance out and we don’t have 15 full capacity servers and we have 25~ medium capacity servers
Just create new realms, lock them and allow them only to transfer from one server so people don’t lose their names. Give it maybe a 3 day time period to switch for free. Really not complicated. With that it would throw out basically most peoples complaints and things would move foward.
