So I took a break from my Druid for a little while before 8.1. And haven’t played her again till now. Is the raid spec still the same? Inner peace, flourish, tree of life etc etc. or has it or changed with the wild growth buff ??
Naa it’s still the same as it was.
It depends on how you play. After the tranq nerf, I’ve actually been doing better with Abundance and Germ instead of Flourishing a crap tranq.
There were plenty of fights where you didn’t want to Flourish Tranq anyway and it was still miles ahead. Germ wins out in targeted debuff healing on a very small number of targets; in overall HPS, raid healing and just general play Flourish is a big winner.
Remember that Flourishing Tranq still extends 20 mastery stacks across the raid in addition to every other aspect of Flourish’s power. It’s easy to overreact to nerfs and try and change everything. That isn’t necessary here.
Not overreacting, I’ve simply been trying a few different ways of doing things to see if anything works better now. Sooorryyyy.
With the buff to Wild Growth, there is some indication to try the Prosperity/Soul of the Forest build. This could provide a steady group heal in situations where the damage is more steady and less spiky. You have to be religious about hitting Wild Growth after Swiftmend, or rarely, Regrowth to save a tank. It’s definitely not the recommended build but I do want to play with it and see. It also really depends on your healing team and how tight you run your healers. When you have more healers, bursty heals don’t do as much good as steady ones. But if you have a tight ratio, that flourish/ tranq can save the team.
Prosp/Soul does not get relevantly better because of a 10% WG buff, although losing Nourish mechanics on Treeform Incarnation does make Soul at least a viable alternative now in PvP, where Prosp is also more relevant as well.
