New races ? No idea how to get them.. HELP?

I want to be the chubby barbarian looking dude ( Alliance ) for my druid class but it says I need to do a quest line ? Where does it start and is it hard ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m going to assume the race you are referring to is the Kul’Tiran Human allied race since you mentioned “chubby barbarians” and that you wanted to make a druid

The questline you will need to do is not difficult but it will likely take you several hours to complete if you have not done any of the questing in those zones yet, as it involves completing the basic levelling/patch questline of the BFA expansion. You can easily do the entire thing solo on any class at your current level without any difficulty.

You will be able to effectively track your progress towards unlocking the race as you go along the questline by checking the [Tides of Vengeance] and [A Nation United] achievements as these are the prerequisites to unlocking this race. After you complete these two achievements you will have to go to Stormwind and you will see a quest at the embassy that will take maybe an hour tops, after which you will unlock the Kul’Tiran race (and get their racial mount!)

Here’s the link to the WoWhead article that highlights the entire process of unlocking them, and will give some info on the racials and whatnot of that race if you’re interested

Hope this helps!

It’s not hard, but it will require a lot of questing. The guide Tahatan posted has a comprehensive overview, but here’s a basic outline to make it a bit easier to follow along with the guide if you didn’t play BfA when it was current:

If you haven’t already done it, start with the BfA intro quests. (The Hearld NPC next to the Hero’s Call board in Stormwind will have the starter quest for it.) Skipping that can cause issues later on.

You’ll need to complete the main storyline in each of the 3 zones and then a followup quest chain that ties the story together. (The BfA intro quests will lead you into the zone questing.) Any dungeon quests that are required to unlock the allied races will have a “skip” option. Talk to the NPC that gave you the quest and they’ll have a dialog option that will auto-complete the quest. If a dungeon quest doesn’t have an option to skip, then it’s not required for the allied races.

You’ll also need to complete a good chunk of the War Campaign. These quests will all originate on the boat in the harbor. (You should get led there at some point.) Most of these quests are locked behind unlocking World Quests in BfA. To do that:

  1. Compete the 3 foothold quests to unlock travel to the three Zuldazar zones. (This can be done before level 60.) You’ll also need to do the Island Expedition Tutorial before you can get the quest for the 3rd foothold on your first character through the content.
  2. Get to level 60.
  3. Pick up your Heart of Azeroth. There’s an Earthen Guardian NPC a bit outside the Boralus Inn with the quest “A Dying World.” Complete that and the two followups “The Heart of Azeroth” and “Infusing the Heart.” You don’t need to do any of the other quests there.
  4. Complete “Uniting Kul Tiras” from Halford Wyrmbane on the boat to unlock World Quests. (This requires getting friendly with each of the 3 zone factions, but you’ll have that easily already if you’ve completed the leveling campaign.)

You do not need to go to Naz’jatar, which will start with “Send the Fleet” on the boat after you’ve opened World Quests. So, you can just ignore this quest and focus on the other ones.
