It’s actually pretty unfortunate because I’m sure they’ve lost untold amounts of players due to ignoring them. I personally would’ve played TWW with no questions asked if they had not teased expanding Paladin/Shaman/Druid right after they did Warlock and Rogue but now my disappointment is at such a high I am considering cancelling.
And my concern is hardly even close to the most pressing issues on these forums. Maybe if they listened more to the players they’d still have 11+ million subs instead of 1-2 million.
honestly I think it’s just that blizz doesn’t want to make art assets for the classes that have race-specific assets (shaman totems, druid forms, and paladin chargers).
The lore requirement argument is clearly fake now because all classes that don’t have race specific assets were given to all races, even when it didn’t make sense lore-wise (lightforged draenei warlocks) or at least made way less sense lore-wise than like human druids and shamans, or night elf paladins, etc. also, they retroactively made up random lore explanations for some of these (the orc priests) which they could so easily do for shamans (literally just had an entire expansion about shamans essentially)
I wish they’d just make a generic totem that the other races can use at least in the mean time and open shaman to all classes (I wish they’d do this with druid and pali too), but I know people will bang on in the forums about how the race-specific totem assets are like the only thing that matters and if they don’t have that, they don’t want shamans for everyone
Whew. Don’t wanna start seeing human shamans all over the place. I dunno what it is with people wanting to be the most culturally boring race in the game, and play every class as them.
