that would be pretty sick, and i think it’s said by many druid npcs that all races are welcome to learn and are capable of learning the druidic arts. i think the problem would be (possibly along with all races being demon hunters) is creating new shapeshift models. there will always be cultural outliers who don’t fit the typical mold of their people (like guldan) too so “cultural reasons” is always a bs excuse
imo, only combos that make sense that you listed is giving everyone Monk and Paladin Night Elves and Kul’Tirans.
Forsaken should never be Paladins. Ever. Channeling the Light is painful enough as it is, it would be far too excruciating for them to be Paladins.
Giving everyone DH would be one of the worst kicks in the face of lore in the history of ever. Don’t wreck Illidan / Illidari any more than what Blizz has already done.
The problem with demon hunters isn’t the fact that he can train just anyone. Elves are historically the most agile of races, they also have a rather resistant nature to the corruption of magic. Demon Hunters embody and house an immortal demon soul. They don’t make contracts, they don’t borrow their power. They stick it inside themselves and it’s something not just anyone can do.
Personally I think Blood elves should get druids, as should humans. Night elves should get Paladin as should the Nightborne.
Goblin and worgen monks don’t work unless they are forced out of doing their default starting experience. They must be required to do exiles reach as otherwise it wouldn’t work with the lore.
I’m not sure what you mean by Lightforged dk monks so I assume you mean Lightforged monks, those are fine.
They don’t have a reason to use the light, and even normal tauren didn’t just randomly decide to. It was them looking to the night elves that inspired them.
Big difference. A priest calls upon the light in prayer to cause miracles. Paladin are living conduits and beacons of the light. They are filled with it. And the only ones who have actually been capable of housing it were bound by extremely powerful necromancy and they were destroying themselves using it. The only way I can see around this could potentially be Lightforged.
The difference is Channeling the light, and being filled with the light.
Sort of like the difference between catching your hand on fire, and
being totally engulfed in flames. The only reason why Blizz allowed
undead to even be holy priests was for game play purposes.
They didnt want a Forsaken players missing a spec if they chose to
play a priest. Otherwise, all forsaken priests would have been shadow
only.
Actually, Paladins are more “one with the Light” than Priests are.
Being able to channel the Light isn’t the same as that.
So, yeah, there’s more lore to it than what armor they wear.
They compare a priest to a Paladin in the respect a priest calls upon the Light through prayer. They don’t house it as a vessel like Paladin. It is a rather large difference asking the Light for help, vs having it course through your veins.
Again though, the work around I see is the process of Lightforging. Calia Menethil is the only Lore priest of the undead classified as Holy. All other undead priests are canon as the Order of the Twisted Shadow.
paladins were invented because priest casualties were too high and in order to mitigate this they trained the most dedicated and straight-laced warriors in the way of the light, so really any race that has priest and warrior should be able to be paladin
