Like the Dagonborn from Forgotten Realms? Or more like the Greyhawk versions? I am partial to the Eberron style myself, as they have actual tails and wings.
I was thinking more like the ones from DND

The Drakonids could use the Tauren frame.
…but I don’t think it’ll be enough for the community’s taste.
(Commentary): Dragonsworn could be an interesting concept for an Allied Race. The flights typically have more reasons to be friendly with the Alliance rather than the Horde as well.

Oh, that’s a Half-Dragon, not a Dragonborn. Which one were you thinking of?
I know is not a dragonborn but it was kinda the representation of the type of race i want to see…
Ah, so more just Human with draconic features than an anthropomorphic reptile? I prefer the later myself, but I totally see why you’d be into the more Human style.

Would it be ally good to have such a race? Would be.
And so it will not happen because, of course, the horde would help them more, they would combine more with the horde or some leader of the alliance would say something rude and make them go to Horde.
Another problem is that the devs would have to write something aimed at the alliance to have something remarkable.
And let’s be realistic.
Kultirans (fake Vrykuls), jungnomes (lol race) and purple blood elves are the best they want to do for the alliance in this matter.
And we would still have the problem that many people in the Horde would be offended and would want the Horde to receive something just as good.
Their own draconic race or that were neutral, thus further diluting the importance of the alliance as an important choice factor.
The easiest thing is to create a class based on dragons (Dragon Knights) that ally receives something like that.
It is easier to ask this for the horde, because at least this way, we would have another new race.
It is better that it exists in the horde, than not at all.
Even more with people seeing faction maintenance as less and less important and wanting for orcs and night elves to cooperate as if factions were no longer relevant.
Would a new breed with an interesting and aggregating theme be good for the alliance?
Yes, but i have no expectations that blizzard will one day create something better than what we saw in BfA for the alliance.
At most, joke races.
That implies Vulpera are a cool race.
I wanted Gil Goblins and Sethrak for the Horde instead
Aren’t those called Drakonids?
I didn’t know how they were called lol
Nope that is not what i was thinking at all…
I’m not against your idea. I actually play something similar in Final Fantasy, but…
I kind of want to play actual Azerothian dragons that are like Wrathion or the Council of Six that can shapeshift into dragons. It’ll be like bringing Breath of Fire to WoW, even if that ability was only allowed by their druids.
At the end of Shadowlands I want us to accidentally unleash a Deathwing that no longer wants to destroy everything, but wants to rule it, and all the dead dragons come back either to conquer our realm or help preserve it…a big dragon civil war.
I really think it’s time for a reptilian inspired playable race. Vulpera are fun but I’d much rather have gotten Sethrak.
An alliance dragon-like race would be cool!
I’m not against it… But i rather have a better reptilian race…
True Drakonids don’t have a “dorei” at the end of it so I doubt the community would want it.
Again i am not talking about Drakonids… They look to beefy… I want Dragon like humanoids that have Dragon like aspect but also be like a bigger size human if i could link a picture i would but try to use the link i posted and you will see what i mean
