Dont forget about Garona, who was Half Orc, Half Draenei. Make that 4 half breeds in the lore.
I’m rather indifferent to the idea but lean against it, simply because I like the VE narrative as is and people who like VEs are very different then people who like HEs and I think it’d end up making VEs less appealing, while not pleasing HE fans either. If that’s what happens I won’t care per se but I’m an advocate for HEs and Half Elves before that
oh i thought she was half orc half human. so yeah, 4. if you think about it, half breeds are just new races. they aren’t really half of this or that. technically some would look more human and some would look more elven, as regards half elves. its not unlike real life humans. we have many variants. who’s to say that some variants today werent at some point, half and half of older races.
Nope, Garona is the daughter of Leran (Maraad’s sister), and an unnamed male orc. Her “son” is Med’an who she bore with Medivh, but that isn’t cannon.
ohh, wonder how come?
Because it was a non-cannonical comic. Blizzard never said, yes this is what happened, so its never officially been added to their story.
yeah i like personal housing too. just hoping they can find a way to do it that doesnt end up making the world look vacant, cause everyone’s camped in their houses
Which is really weird considering how almost every other fantasy universe is. Also considering how the real world is. It is kind of immersion breaking to enforce the taboo like they have.
This is something they need to do anyway. When Velfs were first introduced, I thought it was said that they would be the Alleria type that switches to void form like the Worgen switch forms.
Idk, I know for all the player housing options in swtor people still camp fleet / odessen which is basically akin to (org / sw) and (Boralus / darzalaor) I think the nuance of being in ur player housing wears off at some point and you may go every once in awhile but its sort of like “meh”
The problem I see with Blizzard is the garrison route, and making it the place to be for anything other than personal flavor
EDIT: also forgive my bad typing/ sentences I think they made sense (ish) I am headed to bed lol
I’m pretty sure in real world terms we aren’t really into other species and when someone is we send them to prison if they act on it.
The current surviving humans are the result of at least 2 separate species that have blended together. We didn’t find this out until anthropologists pieced it all together.
the original star wars galaxies, had player housing also. you learned the profession of architecture then built houses to sell on their version of the auction house.
you’d buy the house as a sort of refab condensed down to a small square you could carry in your bags. then when you wanted to build it, you’d find your preferred spot for your house and right click the small square and it would show you an overhead view of the land and potential placing of the house. if you were trying to build it in an inappropriate spot, it’d have big nope slashes on the ground. said houses could be built on any planet in the game. some areas were not buildable, such as lakes, rivers, swamps, over other people’s houses or over other buildings, dungeon areas or anywhere near cities. almost all player built housing had to be so many yards from a city.
in wow terms, that would mean you could build a house in duskwood as long as it wasnt in the graveyard or near darkshire. that’d mess up the game, big time. some zones would be really popular and the landscape would be marred by houses everywhere. best solution would be designated neighborhoods.
maybe the neighborhoods could be accessed off each zone and have the flavor of that zone. so duskwood neighborhood would be creepy and the housing would have to be “creepy” housing. whereas azuremyst neighborhood would be upbeat with the occassional purple crystal jutting out of the ground, and draenei style housing.
or housing off a troll themed zone would be tropical with palms and adobe/straw constructs. etc. you wouldnt have to be those races to build housing in those neighborhoods. you’d just have to be the right faction. neutral or shared zones like hellfire peninsula etc, could have faction designated neighborhoods.
I dunno. If the Void Elves recruit more into becoming Void Elves actually, then it actually could make sense for them to have High Elven customisations. I mean, the original Void Elves were saved by Alleria, preventing them from there full transformation, any more future Void Elves would be saved from any transformation.

Night everyone
Let’s have no Allied races unless they are completely made from scratch.
Why would the alliance get them over the horde, though…? The horde has just as much reason to get them and high elves as an AR.
