Honestly who wouldn’t want to be an Tauren Demon Hunter? How about an Orc Demon Hunter!? Or even better yet,an Undead Demon Hunter! But seriously, I want to have more than the Blood Elf option for my Demon Hunter… That’s is all.

Imo the best way to add a any race/class option is to make it One-per-account for achieving a milestone like “15k achievement points”.
That demonstrates your commitment to the game and knowledge justifying your new character that breaks the rules a bit.
As well as a substantial reward to be able to do this.
But at the same time not making it so frequent that EVERYONE is always on their lore modifying class.
In addition at 25k achievement points an any race/class/faction option opens up.
These new characters could pick and choose druid forms or paladin mounts etc from their factions options so no new options need to be made for all the combos.

More options the better, race/class combos can still have the iconic ones supported by our races history but no reason why these races or even just individuals of races wouldn’t branch out and learn something new from the other races in their faction. For example a Draenei could become interested in becoming a rogue to join the SI:7. No malicious intentions but maybe they were saved by the si:7 and inspired.
Why can’t a dark spear troll want to learn to become a Paladin, especially joining forces with the Zandalari they could also find their place serving the loa Rezan.

wish i could like posts still (15 hours, seriously blizz?) but i totally agree. at this point i honestly think class/race restrictions are kind of outdated with maybe very few exceptions. it’d be cool if, in order to unlock a class your race can’t originally use, you need to a do a lore-friendly questline in which your character chooses to branch into a profession not typically taught by members of their race
we’ve seen a lot of these exceptions throughout the lore, and if we can have playable races that are comprised of a handful of living members, we can certainly have a small percentage of adventurers who opened up to new ideas and combat skills in their time away from home

And monks for Worgen LFD and Goblins…
Also Dwarven Druids if they’re not giving me actual Wildhammer.
I’m also kinda partial to Orc Druids… I know thats out there and all…

A potential case for the trolls. Likely tied to metamorphosis.
Troll warlocks date back to the Zandalari demoniacs, who seek to embody power outright and not just possess it. While warlocks tread dangerous ground in dealing with demons, demoniacs take it one step further. They allow demons to enter their bodies through an ancient and arcane ritual. Rather than let demons possess them, the demoniacs enslave the demons from the inside, absorbing the power of the beast for their own command. It is a feat very few are able to master and more than one has lost the fight, but the power they are able to unleash is worth the sacrifice.
Personally I’d want Tauren/Highmountain Tauren Warlock and Draenei/Lightforged Draenei but I’d be open to other race and class combinations that others want as well.

There’s no reason to train more Demon Hunters currently so I don’t see any other races becoming DHs till the next Demon expansion.

and with rezan and vol’jin merging(or something like that I haven’t done that quest in a while) that’s gives darkspear trolls even more of a reason to be paladin

I concur. They can be warriors so they know how to wear plate and use weapons and they can be priests so they have the ability to wield the light. No reason not to make it available.
