New Race / Class Combinations That Make Sense!

Exactly. The point is, previously that was all that was known to us. We now know that not to be true. Stories evolve. You can’t say that all druids X, because the story isn’t over and there are still unknown truths in the universe.

I support panda druids :). They have ancestry with the Furbolgs and their religion has similarities to the Loa. Or at least I find it to be so. I’m not well versed in the celestials.

I’m just not sure about the forms though

Probably by people that don’t realize what the August Celestials are. Just a guess.

lol probably

Worgen & Goblin monks because it should’ve been a thing in the first place. Only reason to my knowledge they didn’t do that is because they didn’t want the new class at the time to be available to all races, which I think is a poor excuse.

Also Undead Druids & Paladins because obvious.

Both races were secluded to the rest of the world. IIRC the playable monks on launch were taught by roaming pandaren’s self removed from Pandaria. Of course, we’ve long moved past that now.

Weren’t DKs available to all races? In Wrath and Cata.

And the excuse was the Worgen and Goblin starter areas are timelocked but with the new starter zone, that should go out the window.

No they weren’t… if they are playable I’m assuming they’ve moved past that point.

You can not tell me with confidence there is no reason both Worgens & Goblins couldn’t be monks because the panda’s couldn’t reach them. The Worgens set up a home in Darnassus and The goblins took a section of Orgrimmar.

So that is simply not true.

Somewhat this.

I want Vulpera Paladin with a sun theme using desert magic similar to another sun themed pally. I also wish Vulpera could be druid just for the funny joke of making their flight form a big bat called “Flying Fox”

Yes, it is true. When you create the character, you’re not in Org or Darn.

Yes, in Cata. MoP is technically after… they could’ve done something.

Yes but when you create those characters, they aren’t yet at that point of the story.

Of course. Now with the new leveling changes, it’s more fitting now than ever before. I was only commenting on why it was done originally.

But they didn’t because their starter zone is timelocked. However, like me and Bozho said, they can do something for Shadowlands because there’s a new starter zone.

Also this is also a fair point, why allow Worgens & Goblins to be DK’s back then? It would’ve made more sense for them to be able to be monks.

But whatever… I rest my case.

Blizzard has already said no new class combos for Shadowlands. Which is unfortunate to say the least, there are quite a few combos I’d love to see.

Yeah and Nightborne were secluded for 10,000 years but can be monks.

Goblins, Worgen, and Lightforged should be able to be monks

Goblin DKs are not from Kezan, or whatever that island is called. They’re the goblins you can find all over Azeroth (the Steamwheedle Cartel.)

Worgen DKs are not from Gilneas. They’re the worgens from Shadowfang Keep.

It’s explained in the original DK starter zone if you roll those two races.

Completely agree with everything you said just now…

The goblin Death Knights aren’t part of the same cartel. I believe it’s a similar case with the Worgen.

The other playable Goblins aren’t factioned with Booty Bay, Gadgetzan etc.

The monk distinction is an odd one for Blizzard to hold onto. Lightforged should definitely be playable monks too.

There we go.

With the new starting zones though, it’s definitely allows new freedom. When it will be introduced is irrelevant, it’s more inevitable.

If there ever was a case for new combos, these are definitely it.

I would think it’s because those playable characters are introduced after the major events of legion. Players had a large involvement in Suramar, more than enough time to share a new ideology.

I guess there was no time to learn martial arts and Buddhism during WoW Star Wars, lol. There was already lightforged monks on Argus, it’s an odd rule. I guess they are too far removed to the monk classes abilities which are heavily themed on Pandaren culture.

Night elf Paladins for sure. I think that’s probably the most obvious one, I have no idea why they didn’t do it. They set it up with delas and even before we had past examples of night elf Paladins. However with Delas we saw the entire process play out so we know it’s entirely possible. They fit all of the criteria, especially having a god/deity they worship.

Night elf paladins please! Alliance side could use something new. With allied races we didn’t get any actual new Paladin races, just another draenei and dwarf option. Would love to see something new and nelf Paladins make sense.

Don’t forget. The Monk Order hall Mount also explicitly says that the Previous Grandmaster personally visted Kezan at one point in his life.
