So, according to the new ToS policy, I wouldn’t be able to transfer gold to an alt cross-realm?
For example: If I had a toon on Moon Guard, and I wanted to send gold to an alt on Stormrage, I would get banned for doing that now?
Just asking for clarification.
Depends. If you’re on retail and you just mail it to them, no. If you’re on classic and do the traditional “I give you gold on this server, you give me gold on that one” then yes.
I thought it was just to another player.
They’ve already baked in transferring gold to an alt by allowing gold deposits to the Warband bank. I think you’re safe.
They clarified in a customer support thread that normal gold trading is fine. What they’re trying to stop is “wtt gold on server a for gold on server b”, which is only a thing in classic now, and “wtt trade gold in classic for gold in retail”. It’s almost always a scam and they’re tired of answering tickets about it.
This makes it more clear. Also for cross realm you could just use the Warbank.
Ah okay, thank you for the clarification.
Yeah, those ads on Classic are annoying. “WTT my gold on x, for your gold on y”, they were spammed a lot.
