New Player

Generally I kind of try and figure out this kind of stuff by myself, but that being said. Im new to WoW and am lookin for some insight on classes as well as how to get the best gear possible raking into consideration I havent found a race I prefer.

Sure! Your best bet is to just level to max and jump into the covenant campaign. After completing and starting Korthia questlinewhere for dailies you’ll get some nice 200 upgradable gear.

Class is one that you’ll need to live in your way that journey is yours give em all a try!

Your best bet would probably be to head over to the new players forum.

Welcome fren,
Really depends on what you are wanting to do, if i could suggest a class to anyone right now, that did not actually care what they played, i would strongly suggest druid as right now that are IMO, the best class in the game.
They have some of the best heals, the best tank, pretty good DPS, and are never NOT useful in a group. You can just do anything you want with them, and they do it pretty damn good.

When it comes to gear, the best way for a new player is getting to max, going to the new zone called korthia and getting armor from the vendor there or just doing things out and about in korthia.

Once you get taht, you can start looking at doing things like Mythic + dungeons which offer better versions of the loot that already drops in those dungoens. I would suggestion once you get korthia gear do the new mega dungeon it offers a lot of good high level gear.

Try a trial class for all of them. I made the mistake of just hopping into rogue first and after I played other classes I liked ALL of them better than rogue. lol.

Us both being Warriors I think warrior is also fun. Maybe even a sign that OP is a warrior coincidentally.

Really liking the idea of a monk or warrior myself, both have great moves that compliment each other. Any suggestions on gettin to max as humanly fast as possible. Willing to spend the 60$ to jump into level 50.

Welcome to WoW!!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: My best advice is to level to max and then jump into the latest content. Best of luck to you!!!

I appreciate it! Thanks for the advice if I have any other questions Im sure I can rely on everybody im the community to be able to answer them.

Between the option of a monk or warrior…monks will level faster because they get bonus rested xp. It’s even more beneficial if you are a panda monk

Overall, the leveling process only takes about 12 hours from level 1 to 50, so I would not recommend a boost unless you are certain about what you want to play

I think maybe don’t get the boost sir. I recommend going along the levelling path to build a love for that class. With a boost you’re given a lot of tools and it is a bit harder to learn to use them.

Warriors are fun, and good in pvp
HOWEVER, warriors are 100% the redheaded step child of the game. we make great tanks, until magic damage comes along.
We do great DPS, until we are at the top then we end up at the bottom because of nerfs.

Ive done class trials of those specific classes and am really enjoying both monk and warrior separately. Monk a tad bit more than warrior but both I love individually. I like the close combat aspect of both. My only Concern right now is, do you gain more abilities via class as you reach max level?

The only abilities for the most part between 50-60 is the covenant abilities. The rest are upgrades to your existing ones.

One does not mention magic damage to a warrior when spell reflect is on cooldown > : (

Checkout wownoob subreddit, there are good players willing to help new players there

Okay so all of mt regular class abilities upgrade as I progress in level to max. I kinda like that. Makes my action bars less full then I suppose😂

TBH, i think the magic damage reduction buff should not go down if a spell is reflected, i think that should last the full duration.

firstly welcome to azeroth.

2nd delete your panda dont make a gnome/mechagnome or vulpera all 4 are useless.

3rd do as others have said and play class trial variants of any class you think you might be of interest in. if none of them work then maybe this isnt the game for you and any progress you make will be saved on the back end if you decide to come back in some time in the future.

Delete the Panda?:joy:
Beyond that Ive done numerous class trials and really only liked maybe 3 classes. Warrior, Paladin, and Monk. Winwalking Monk specifically, Protection Paladin. And havent found a specialization for Warrior that best suits my wants. But noted on the third thing you said.

Good luck to you in your adventures. Hope you find a good guild and friends to play with.

The game is fun just try avoid the toxic players. Harder than you might think.
