New player with a few questions

Hey, folks. I’ll keep it brief.

  1. Is double DPS in 2v2 a thing? Rogue/Mage, for instance? Myself and a buddy want to play 2s together but we both want to DPS. Will I need to give it up and play a spec that can off heal or just an outright healer?

  2. Any tips on choosing a main in general? I’ve been doing a bit of reading and it seems like gear is super important but also incredibly grindy. Add to that all the extra work to complete skill lines (covenants, conduits, legendaries) and it really seems like just focusing on one character is the best bet. Too bad every class seems cool/fun haha.

  3. Does realm matter? If I play on a low pop realm will Arena be a deadzone? Or are all the realms on the same ladder/queue?

  4. Any good guides that explain stats, core mechanics, terminology, etc.? Super new and looking for a primer

  5. Is anyone looking for a relatively dedicated PvP partner? I’m mostly playing to have a good time with my homie, but I know him well enough to know he will get bored in a few months and I’ll be super into it. Looking for someone that can show me the ropes, explain some stuff, and queue with for the entire expansion.

Rogue mage is probably the best double dps comp in the game. Play whatever class you have the most fun with. The realm doesn’t matter at all and you can play vs anyone on the NA client. Wowhead has a lot of PvP guides by high experienced players that should be a good starter.
