Hey my first time ever playing wow. Just wondering are guns viable for endgame in TBC I did some research and found that the dwarf racial changes from gun skill to crit using guns. If anyone can shine some light on this for me it would be appreciated
Bows are best, there are some guns that see some use but bows remain the best overall.
You might try a search, “wow classic tbc best hunter weapon”. A result suggest pre-raid BiS includes 5 bows (1 epic), 5 guns (2 epic), and 3 crossbows (2 epic). One thing I like about guns is that my engineer can make bullets. I don’t believe there’s any profession that makes arrows.
There are some engineering arrows that were introduced in 2.2.3, so depending on how they phase in professions, they might be available right away.
There are some fantastic guns end game. Bows are probably more abundant but there are some awesome guns too.
The bows are not only more abundant, but they’re better.
Slightly less than optimal. But come on … they sound cooler, right?
Good lord, no.
I rolled a nelf hunter just so I would never need to listen to Blizz’s terrible gun noise.
Eh…only would use one on retail if I was a dwarf. Otherwise bows all the way. Pre-transmog you’re just going to be using the best that you have available anyways.
I feel like there was a crafted gun in TBC though that was popular, the gun-blade one. I remember the Kara gun that I had for a long time on my warrior too though.
Edit: Aw yeah my memory isn’t crap. Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer. More of a warrior tank gun, but I think a lot of hunters crafted it too for a starter weapon.
