New Player PvP Grip

Why is item level even a thing in pvp?
Its punishing new players and acting like a gatekeeper to pvp.
You cant contribute anything to the match except honor to the opponent.

They’res no counter play or skill to being constantly being instant killed to rapid fire or obliterate.
And the opponents know this as they’ll purposely pick you off for free leech or to get rid of annoying passives you have active.

Grinding pvp loot to increase item level isn’t even worth it, you’re literally better off rolling higher ilvl loot in raids than to constantly be harassed by teammates for not contributing and dying in pvp.

Guild war 2 even had a better pvp for new players.
Everyone gets the same selection of different stats sure but at least I wasn’t running into mages with the same health as bdk.

Epic Battlegrounds are great for gearing up, tomorrow will be hype!
Tank spec - takes Healer spot + Low ilvl = smol energy.
Play legit dps spec and focusing on assists will work better, overall contribution imo.

People will say you just need to get better at the game, but imo its worse when you do end up killing someone who has auto-win level ilvl in a BG because more often than it is enjoyable they’ll make it their mission to hound you constantly just to mend their ego.
After all, they’re top dmg and top kills every BG since they bought their 220ilvl carry, so surely they are the best player alive, and surely you just got lucky…
When there is 0 point to winning as a casual (save conquest for a 3ivl upgrade? nty…), and all you’re playing for is enjoyment, you’ll find yourself questioning your sub fee when being chased across a map by a pack of mouthbreathing rets/rogues/wars
