I looked up some guides on how to level and find ores to mine and how to craft blacksmithing items. They keep saying go back to the trainer to learn, journeyman, expert and so on… but when I go to the trainer there isn’t any of these skills to learn. Any help on this? Kinda stuck mining copper ore but I want to mine higher level ore and so I can make higher level armor. Thanks!
you improve your skill by actually mining ore and turning the ore into bars. You usually gain 1 skill point for each node you mine when that item is yellow or higher. Less often when it is green. As your skill improves you can learn other ores. I think you need skill of 40 to learn Tin.
When you reach skill level 50 you can learn Journeyman.
Just don’t bother with blacksmithing. You will never craft something you use that you can’t get better of easily enough.
If you want to use what you craft go alchemy/herb. If you want money go alch/mining.
Hand of Rag?
the trainer will teach you next level when you’re close to skillcap. i believe withing 25 from cap.
mining is useful, but you can just give mats from a blacksmith and he can make the item. Especally on paladin and warrior. As for ore higher level ore is in higher level zones but you can mine copper until it no longer gives levels. As for the epics they will take a lot of mats, as in a lot of thorium and stuff. Still there should be a market for all levels of bars and stones given they are useful in consumables.
In general this may sound obvious but mines and caves have a lot of ore.
Go double gathering till you hit level 60. Crafting professions are a huge gold sink. Gather and sell so you’ll have enough gold by the time your 60.
There are really good guides out there on speed leveling professions.
if you are leveling this for gear you should farm gold to buy the mats or the gear itself, mining/blacksmith are not good professions for end game
go herb/alch, its more profitable and useful specially if you are a warrior/retri pally
