I’m very glad I started in the beginning of legion when you had to go through each expac at least partially to move forward. But really leveling should take far far longer. At least the first time/story mode time. I would say 60-100 hours.
This way you can go through the story of each expansion, perhaps an follower version of each raid to feel like you’re actually completing the storylines. Bonus points if you actually have to learn how to play your class through these.
More class quests while leveling that unlock certain abilities or cosmetics.
Basically steal from ff14. It has a far better story telling experience than WoW.
oh, you mean like all of the threads complaining about mythic plus and delves where blizzard is perfectly happy with where things are and if they do anything, it’s nerfing the wrong stuff and buffing the wrong stuff it’s all good though. I expressed my opinion and gave an idea. I even said in my original post it probably wouldn’t work and it would be ignored. So it’s not like I expected to happen, but I did feel like writing it down.
I mean you can old man yell at cloud all you want. No shade from me.
Theres many days i want to suggest that depleted keys should cause m+ rating to decrease just like pvp because if its good for pvp why not roll it out to the whole game
But its just if you wouldnt play the mode is it really worth doing? And if blizz would bork the execution like they do other things id rather they spend the extra time to less bork things id play which isnt leveling
oh, don’t get me wrong. I am a huge proponent of having more content and more flavor in the game. However, if this mode sucks and everyone just whines about it and there’s no real progression to be had then why are we wasting money and resources on keeping mythic plus in the game? I mean, sure it’s been around for a long time, but a lot of other things that were around since classic were basically upgraded and replaced with war within so why not ditch the mythic system move everything back to heroic let the gear stack as high as that and call it a day? after all, it’s just a game and if people want a real challenge, I’m sure there are other games out there that offer one.
Frankly im more and more in the camp of gear acquisition should be quick and high end modes exist to test skill with cosmetic rewards.
pvp gearing is legit in that sense. 4-5 tiers but mainly just honor and conq gear then bam go ham in the content you want and push rating.
I mean, that’s fair. Everybody has their own preference. As for me, I would love a story mode version of wow where the gear doesn’t matter, it’s difficult to die in the game, and you can see all of the content with or without multiple people. We’ve already proven that at low levels heirloom gear is more powerful than anything, and with follower dungeons they could absolutely create an AI version of every dungeon and raid in the game, allowing casual players to simply enjoy the story and the lore. I don’t mind the MMO aspect, but I prefer the RPG aspect. But after 19 years of playing this game, I tolerate the people and I just go back to previous expansions to see the content that I missed. For example, I’m just now finishing up the N’Zoth raid from battle for Azeroth where we first find out about Xal’atath.
