I’m a mage. How do I buff other players with Arcane Intellect? Never played before. Not sure if I’m doing it right.
take a guess
Left click on them, cast the buff, keep on truckin’.
Just target them and hit the spell
Going to take a shot in the dark and say you dont know of keybinds yet, if not youtube a beginner guide for it.
maybe if you cast it on yourself first the increase in intellect will help you figure it out. If your serious then just target them and then click the spell or use the keybind.
Thanks. That’s what I thought but I didn’t see the other character glow or anything so wasn’t sure if it worked.
You know the animation that you see above your own head when you cast it on yourself? You’ll see the same thing over them if successful.
So helpful. Thanks.
Check if they are a mana using class, mouse hover to make sure they don’t already have the buff, cast the spell with them targeted.
If they hop once or twice as they pass, they are saying TY.
All these scrubs telling you to target them… pffft… real players make mouseover macro’s for there buffs and heals
Here is what I use for healing, you can use it for buffs too
#showtooltip Heal
/cast [target=mouseover, help] Heal; [help] Heal; Heal
Do not listen to this man.
Keybinds are not for you. Play WoW as the good lord of gaming intended!
I have no idea what you are talking about. I’m a total newb to WoW
Ok awesome lemme explain
Normally to heal or buff someone you have to click on them first and then cast. Mouseover macros allow you to mouseover them and cast a spell targeting them without ever having to click on them.
Save space in the macro using @mouseover instead of target=mouseover. Becomes pretty important if you’re playing a druid – we can’t afford to use the default option to switch the entire bar for shift/ctrl binds because our forms already use so many of the available bars, so we have to macro in our own modifier splits and they get pretty huge.
Also I’m not sure why you need the additional [help] catch. If the first condition block fails it’s already going to default to your current target followed by yourself if they’re not friendly. You don’t need to double-check if they’re eligible.
Suggesting to someone to not keybind is the worst advice ive seen anyone give in a very long time.
Also look for mouse over macros. It will save time.
See even the hunter knows how to do it…and that is saying something since it is a Goblin too!
So to use Arcane Intellect spell I type that in the macro instead of “heal”? And why do you have to have heal in that macro so many times?
Lmao My sides
